...a few years back mine was a film called 'ill bury you tomorrow'..
The acting was cheesy and what not, but I thought for a low budget film it was good and very different from the usual stuff like cops n robbers...
Anyone else seen this film?
Or any other weird film?

I first saw Eraserhead at a college film society screening on a small screen with a crappy projector. It broke down completely half way through which was a mighty relief. I have the soundtrack album on vinyl, that's easy listening all right.
But I'd go with 'Last Year at Marienbad' for 'strangest'...still not sure whether it's a masterpiece or not, but it intrigues me to this day. Not far off is 'Seconds' with Rock Hudson. Brrrr.
(Couldn't get through 'Eraserhead' tbh...I was freaked out after about 10 minutes. )
Probably this film is up there, Possession (1980) with Sam Neill and Isabelle Adjani, it's on You Tube in it's entirety if anyone wants to check it out, I'll not spoil it by saying what the weird bits are but it was as unsettling and odd as Eraserhead imo.
Another choice would be http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3xoXq0WSfSA Dans Ma Peu (2002) it is not only insanely weird in places but a very difficult film to watch in the unsettling, creeping feeling it gives you. I nearly fainted at some scenes!
Fascinating and odd stuff about bikers,
flying saucers, and Marianne Faithfull.
The most boring, pretentious film, about the most boring, pretentious band.
Also, "Triangle" in 2009.
What about "Donny Darko" for mainstream weird.
It is probably a well known mainstream film, but id never seen it before,
Screened regularly at the old Scala cinema in the 80s.

Basket Case is another.
But. Still nobody else has seen the film ' I'll bury you tomorrow' ....
I must be vewwy speshul.
Made in 1943 and running a mere quarter of an hour. But deeply odd with some truly striking imagery.
Few others:
Freaks(1932) The cast were all genuine circus freaks.
Cloud Atlas - Recent film made up of 6 stories starring the same actors in each but playing different roles including different sexes and races, set in 6 different time periods and 6 different film genres, and the film randomly switches between the 6 stories throughout. Needs to be watched a few times and a real Marmite film, personally I loved it.
That's 'Bug'.
Edited:
I didn't expect to ever see a mention of Maya Deren's works here. But yeah, her works are an inspiration to quite a few film editors and film theorists. (I'm not that keen on Meshes. A Study in Choreography for the Camera is a favourite. Mostly because it's one of massive influences on my editing.) Moving on. Your mention of Meshes has cheered me up. Thanks for that.

Also Being John Malkovich is pretty weird for a mainstream film.

I can no longer C&P from youtube, dunno what they have changed.
The weirdest looking woman ever has to be Linda Leven from the film I mentioned in this thread...
