    Terms of Endearment.....

the scene where Emma (Debra Winger) is in New York with her friend Patsy and they have eaten lunch with Patsy's friends and are outside the restaurant chatting behind Emma's back about her cancer and Emma chews Patsy out about it. The TT's are seen in the background across the bay several times.

A truly frightening aspect of the Simpsons episode set at the World Trade Center is that they're first seen in an advert for a $9 trip to New York, the camera zooms in and we see "911" with the 1s made from the World Trade Center. Seriously. Not suggesting any conspiracy, just a really creepy coincidence.

Are you sure? That's filmed in Chicago not New York.

Another one I find spooky is not from a film but a music video. Watch the video and listen to the first few lines of the song

    The matrix

Nope. The Matrix was filmed in Sydney. While the city featured may be intended to be New York, there's nothing that would indicate it's either.

Pretty much any film set in New York (and there are A LOT) from mid-eighties to early 00's, frankly.

Home Alone 2 is the notable one, as a short scene is actually filmed on one of the towers.

70's conspiracy thriller "Three Days of the Condor" (1975) starring Robert Redford and Faye Dunaway.
    Dir. Sydney Pollack

Joe Turner: Boy, what is it with you people? You think not getting caught in a lie is the same thing as telling the truth?

Higgins: It's simple economics. Today it's oil, right? In ten or fifteen years, food. Plutonium. Maybe even sooner. Now, what do you think the people are gonna want us to do then?

    Joe Turner: Ask them?

Higgins: Not now - then! Ask 'em when they're running out. Ask 'em when there's no heat in their homes and they're cold. Ask 'em when their engines stop. Ask 'em when people who have never known hunger start going hungry. You wanna know something? They won't want us to ask 'em. They'll just want us to get it for 'em!

Just reading that means I'm going to go and dig my copy out and watch it now!:D

    Q: The Winged Serpent (1982)
Blood Ties (1991) - the film takes place in California, but there is a shot of the towers when one character is on his way to a NYC airport.
