Sick, just sick.
Sorry if there is already a thread on this.
The mummified body of a four-year-old boy was found in a cot in his mother's bedroom almost two years after he starved to death, a jury has heard.
Hamzah Khan was still dressed in baby clothes when police made the "dreadful discovery" at his house in Bradford in September 2011, the court was told.
The boy's mother, Amanda Hutton, 43, who denies manslaughter, has gone on trial at Bradford Crown Court.
The jury heard conditions in the house had "disturbed even hardened officers".
Sick, just sick.

It would also help if parents stopped starving their kids to death.
tell me you're being sarcastic.
too fast
As you say they lived separately like thousands of other single mothers. This 4 yr old was so starved he was wearing clothing suitable for a 9 month old. She must have been sober some of the time to feed herself and buy booze with his child benefit when her son lay dead for nearly 2 years.
Their realities are different but hers was at least as bad.
Quite. Strange how their reality always seems to enable them to feed and clothe themselves.
you're right.
there is no excuse, there never will be. I don't care what she suffered, what her addiction was, how strong it was, how much her mother beat her, if she was sexually abused, what mental problem she has or any other cock and bull that apologists will attempt to use to make her look like the victim - IT IS NOT AN EXCUSE OR EXPLANATION for torturing a child every moment of it's life until the moment of it's murder!!!.
Yes when the dead baby is lying in his cot covered with rubbish and litter - too horrible to think about but ah well she had a lack of support
ETA Sorry I keep thinking of him as a baby but he was a little boy the size of a baby probably about to start school
It only says canabis as far as I can see?
Poor child
By the time he was found, (God bless him) he should have been about coming up to 7, from my knowledge now or at least from what I have read you don't appear to have a legal obligation to send your child to school unless you register with one. I'm in a total quagmire about these legal aspects of education and looking into it more deeply. I feel quite angry about this aspect if correct
Who said it would never happen again? You can't totally stop bad things happening you know.
No excuses. It isn't that difficult to be a single parent, especially to just one child. She could have got help for her drug/drink addiction and legal protection from her ex.
I think the clue lies in the fact that she carried on claiming child benefit -and no doubt other benefits after his death. She didn't give a shit about her own child.
I hope she gets the maximum sentence possible.
Errrr, yeah that was my point!! The powers that be always crawl out the woodwork with platitudes ect but some children will always be at the mercy of a few cruel, evil bastards..
Yes, Eugenics really worked in the middle of the last century, didn't it? I take it you are a UKIP voter?
