(not sure what being a Catholic has to do with the story)

Me either but it might suggest that they know more than they are prepared to print at this stage.

Well if that is their motive they have missed a trick. The could have gone for Good Catholic girl missing for a week possibly abducted by unemployed, immigrant Muslim man in his 40's.

I hope they find her soon.
She looks a lot older than 14 though.
I think she's gone off to meet someone she met over the internet.

That's what her big sister says in the Mail video. Sounds logical.

Some kind of 'Forrest' scenario perhaps, though not with her teacher as we'd have been told that by now. But I wonder why this particular case made the Mail? Aren't there dozens of teens go missing like this every year? Anyone know the stats?

Mind you. photogenic girl, photogenic big sister, Daily Mail... hmmm... but I hope she soon turns up OK.

I don't think many of them stay away for more than a couple of days.

This case reminds me of Andrew Gosden. He was also 14 when he set off to London instead of going to school one day. That was six years ago and he hasn't been seen since. :(

I hope Esme is found safe and well soon.

Seems the fact that she didn't have her mobile with her is making the investigation very difficult.

As other have said, she doesn't look like a missing child, she looks a lot older than 14. I Hope she's found soon and is safe.

Depends how much the police have to go on. CCTV after she was spotted coming out of Waterloo station? Probably met this bloke who she wants to spend time with. Hopefully that's the outcome.

I may be wrong but I'm thinking she's gone to meet someone she's met online. She certainly looks 16-17-18 years old.

That is very strange as most young girls would bring their phone with them.

A week is a fairly long time, hopefully she will turn up safe and sound.

And she looks way older than 14, she looks as old as some the OH's early 20's workmates. Which I would say could be problematic as most people wouldn't think something was up if they encountered her.

The name of the school she goes to is called 'All Hallows Catholic School'

At no point in the article is she referred to as Catholic.

    Where was she last seen?

Does she have any family, friends, or family friends who live or work around there?

She comes from my home town, I have been following this all week locally, I hope they find her soon or at least her parents get a call from her letting them know she is OK :(

Though I don't understand how anyone could put their family through such a worry. The mind baffles.
