Has anyone any suggestions for music choices for this year's series? I would suggest the following:-
Cha Cha
Dance Away - Roxy Music
Theme from "Casino Royale" (original 1960s film version)
Foxtrot
Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue - Crystal Gayle
This Girl's In Love With You - Acker Bilk
American Smooth
It's So Easy - Andy Williams
Samba/Salsa
I Haven't Stopped Dancing Yet - Gonzalez
Viennese Waltz
Theme From A Summer Place - Percy Faith Orchestra
Spinning and Spinning - Syreeta
Jive
Shake Rattle and Roll - Bill Haley and the Comets
Jukebox Jive - Rubettes
Under The Moon of Love - Showaddywaddy
Rumba
Kiss You All Over - Exile
Hero - Enrique Iglesias
Summer The First Time - Bobby Goldsborough
Paso Doble
Legend of Xanadu - Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Titch
Y Viva Espana - Sylvia
Firedance - (from Riverdance show)
I'll probably have a few more suggestions to add but these will do for starters.

Wow that's amazing, thank you.
I will enjoy that.
I have to say though, I hope The Legend of Xanadu and Y Viva Espana are never used for a paso doble (or anything else for that matter)!
Or for samba, Sharkira's Rabiosa?
That sounds interesting
If Legend.... or Y Viva Espana are used in this series, I'll do more than pickle my walnuts, I'll tell you that.

Agree, plus a cha cha to Blurred Lines. Maybe also a Charleston to That Man (Caro Emerald)
That sounds good to me.
No,I would be too distracted singing along.....now no footprints leave their traces, only shadows moving places.......
I did have a sudden image of some people doing a salsa to I'm Outa Love (Anastacia)
I would be very surprised if they use "Blurred Lines". A number of Universities have banned the song because of its lyrics, and the BBC will be acutely aware of the problem of offence because of that.
"You economics student, hold it right there, show me the content of your Ipod...",
I'm not sure. They used it on DWTS and it's played on daytime radio......so I think there's still a probability they may use it.
I'm not keen on the track myself.
True True. It's misogynist to the nth degree but I suppose it depends on whether Mr BBC decides it's worth the risk.
I'm not just "Not keen", I'm in the "genuine hate" camp!
I hope the track isn't used - it's so ubiquitous now
