The 3rd season premiere was excellent. Kathy Bates is freaking evil in this thing. The things she does to her slaves.... just evil. I'm really looking forward to seeing where this season goes.
Sorry - I'm rather new to the TV threads - but should I avoid this thread if I am going at UK pace? I don't want any spoilers!
Is there a thread for that?
Thanks in advance.
Like already mentioned, I think the best bet is to start two new threads. One US and the other UK. Unless the mods can somehow add US pace to this thread's title. Otherwise it's going to be confusing and people will see spoilers.

I don't know what's more horrifying about the Madame LaLaurie stuff: the actual, seriously disturbing imagery of what she does to her slaves, or the fact that she's not a work of fiction but a real person who did these awful things.
Also, Kathy Bates is so brilliant at playing evil characters. I'm so glad they managed to sign her for this season.
This is absolutely brilliant. Best season opener for the show so far.
Frances Conroy, Lily Rabe and Kathy Bates are owning it already.
Jessica Lange, though fab, is playing the same role she played in Season 1. Not much of a stretch.
Emma Roberts needs to work a lot harder to keep up with the rest of the actresses and Jamie Brewer says so much with just a look. How good is she?
9/10. Took off 1 mark because of the lack of Misty and Myrtle.
I personally don't mind Emma Roberts, but I've seen a fair few people say they're not big fans. Queenie's line to Madison about taking acting classes probably made a few of the Emma detractors chuckle.
The premiere got 5.5 million viewers last night, the highest rated episode of the show to date.
The show continues to get higher and higher every season. I think the fact every season is self contained is perhaps why, because new viewers can join whenever they want and not feel the need to watch previous seasons in a bid to catch up.

Wow!
Then, there was a LOT of buzz this series. Let's hope it lives up to it!
Funniest and lightest episode I've seen of AHS. Not 100% convinced about the tone yet and its definitely the least scary one so far. But I did really enjoy the opener.

Is that in the UK also?
Nope, "debuts on Fox on Tuesday, October 29 at 10pm." (DS)
THANK YOU! I am really looking forward to this.
Surprised no official US pace thread either, will check back later, not keen on starting threads.
There is no official Walking Dead season 4 US pace either and that starts this weekend doesn't it? thought peeps liked getting in early
(This is a subtle, maybe blunt hint for someone to start both).

Thanks in advance.

thank you
I have started a UK pace thread in this folder
I've also messaged the mods to see if they can add US pace to this thread.
Edit: Which has now been done. So back on track.
Anyway, thought it was a good opener, even if a bit too gruesome again. Good to see the cast back.

Very intrigued by Cordelia, she's going to be interesting.
I didn't expect Zoe to rape that guy to death at the end, blimey!
Fiona is a great supreme witch character but her obsession with youth will probably be her undoing along with digging up LaLaurie as well.
Bates is bloody scary as LaLaurie as well. The first five minutes of this episode were a bit frightening I'll admit.
Zoe and her killer ability is interesting but I'm sure there's more to it though. I do like Nan a bit more though - she's lovely.
Queenie as a human voodoo doll is a weird one but interesting. Madison is a vile piece of work but she didn't deserve to be gang raped as well.
I kind of want Zoe and Kyle to get together as well.
Misty, Myrtle and Spalding had bugger all to do in this one. Marie's few scenes were great though.
Cordelia might be my favourite character but it's early days though, 8/10.

Lange, Bates, Bassett, Conroy, Rabe. Simply stellar!
i'm assuming that rabe will be back at somepoint? can't imagine that was it from her this season?
