Has anyone ever used Vaulty? Got some mixed up reviews on most of these app,I use folder lock on my usb pens i thought there might be something as good as that.
Is it android? Because you can hide those certain photos that you don't want people to see
While inside "my files" create a new folder for said files,Put a. (full stop) before the folder name, to view/hide go into settings (by pressing menu while inside my files ) click more then check /uncheck "show hidden files"
None of this will be any use if you are wanting password security for your files.
Sorry if ANY of this is patronizing, just needed to make it as simple as possible.
I use quick pic for my pictures, you can "hide folders & also password protect hidden folders & it's a beautiful small app.
For now i think ill go the .nomedia way,Have you got that right though where you can name the file .nomedia or does the folder have to be named .nomedia
I have no idea what im doing wrong because ive made a folder named it private then made a file in that folder and named it .nomedia but it still appears in the gallery,Even when i restart the phone.
Yep now sorted,Can you put a picture viewer inside the folder so if i want to view the pictures by sliding the screen then i can load them in there. Or is Quickpick the only option if i want to view the pictures by sliding the screen.

Vaulty, although there are a plethora that can do it.
Yes it is a android phone.
So how can this be done?
Most of the others just hide them in folders that anyone can find on the phone.

if you want to bury them beyond a sophisticated attack you need encryption.
but if you just want your mates to not see topless pics of your girlfriend or your mom to not see your porn....
there's a few things you can do.
if you drop a file called .nomedia in a folder the gallery will ignore that folder. it's intended for say if an app has some graphics files.
quickpic is an excellent gallery app and can hide files/folders.
Cheers everyone with the help.
Or copy an existing one.
EDIT: Think ive now done it. Cheers:)
