God help you when global warming brings (our regular) 20ft snow drifts to Sussex, you lot panic about a bit of wind & rain... FFS, it may be "grim up North" but a bit of weather doesn't stop daily life.
Switch the news back on and pay attention this time.
Trains cancelled due to trees on the line, not just leaves.
Anyway only two people dead so far and one person missing, presumed dead. Maybe if the body count increases, you will be ok with further news coverage ?

Yes, but the rest of you are absolutely fine. Its just a windy/rainy day.

And you object to the news coverage on the basis that most people are ok and we've not all been killed by falling trees or swept out to sea, is that it ?

Are you aware that these people are not the only people who have died tragic deaths today in the UK?
There will be hundreds, as there is every single day.

Yes, that's true, death is a fact of life, I get that, but I still don't see your logic.
A girl of 17 was killed in her bed by a falling tree, a man has been killed after a tree fell on his house causing a gas leak and his house to explode and a young boy of 14 is feared dead after being swept out to sea.
There are probably more similar tragedies that have happened during the storm and you think that because it happened near to London and in the South, any mention on the news is an outrage and means the North is ignored by the news media !

Is this really how you are thinking ?
I haven't said that the North gets ignored. Calm down and read properly.

I still think your reaction is bizarre and proof if it were needed of the things people say online when they have the anonymity of a screen ID to hide behind.
a) can afford to pay the tax
b) eat other things
c) were not all over the news wailing and gnashing their gums at the thought of the pasty tax
You are not very intelligent, bless you. Perhaps you could try and boost your intelligence with some night classes or something. I presume that some colleges have survived the terrible windy day?
Comments
But threaten you with a pasty tax and you all go hysterical
Where is the drama ?
The news coverage is just factual that I have seen and the people being interviewed seem pretty measured in their response.
LOL Smack dowwwn!!
You mean Cornish pasties?
Check the map dear.
Trains being cancelled for one thing...
Switch the news back on and pay attention this time.
Trains have been cancelled due to trees on the tracks & damage to overhead wires

3 people are dead.
I hope you feel good about yourself for posting that little snipe.

Yes of course other people will die in accidents today, but we're not posting insensitive comments like yours about those deaths, are we?
Those people who have died won't be carrying on their lives, and their family's lives will never be the same either.

I'm sorry about the damage and loss of life, couldn't help but LOL at this though...
Did you have Chas and Dave in, playing on a slightly out of tune piano?
No I meant Greggs dear
I haven't said that the North gets ignored. Calm down and read properly.
This is an insensitive thread for insensitive people, there's nothing for you here!
Greggs also has stores in the south, dear.
