While it's very common for Barristers in the same Chambers to work on opposing sides of cases, I don't believe for a second that a Barrister would defend someone who'd murdered the wife of someone in Chambers.

    Exactly.

And as for being granted bail.....

FFS this is getting even more ridiculous. How did he know where the kid would be.

He has never been charged with a case, so I believe he would get bail. But not to sure about Eileen paying for it though.

It's a classic circumstance where you'd throw your hands up and say that you couldn't possibly be objective and represent the client to the best of your ability.

It is utterly ridiculous. I'm enjoying it though - I like Anton Lesser a lot, and however nonsensical the plot is, DT is pretty compelling.

So the CCTV on the bus or on the streets wouldn't have seen him following the kid or sitting next to him on the bus which would break his bail conditions.

It would be extremely unlikely that he'd get bail.

Who cares if it's a bit daft? It's a bloody drama, not a documentary on how our judicial system works. Suspend your disbelief for an hour and just enjoy it.

You would have thought he'd have given his son a mobile phone.

I'm actually enjoying this, but I'm really having to suspend disbelief massively. I guess it's the same with doctors watching medical dramas, etc.

Those achingly trendy posh properties usually don't have curtains.

    It's more than a bit daft, it's very nearly a comedy! :o

You would think Rose West would know better than to trust another psychopath.

Well I am still enjoying it! Foyle is quite terrifying but I see how he is able to charm that lady!

Instead of having under cover meetings in a public place, couldn't they find somewhere more private

Maybe I'm just perceptive, but Folye's other half seems slightly co-dependent to me.
