Oh yes, let's buy AC|DC because we really don't want corporate music in the charts. I might start a campaign to get Portland, Oregan's finest export Jackie-O Mother****er into the Number 1 slot - though I don't have any FaceBook friends and can't figure out how to use Twitter.
If you're an AC/DC fan, tracks don't get better than this. And in the absence of real Christmas music these days, this track is as good as any.
Obviously I'm not a fan. I was, growing up, subjected to them a great deal as my sister, along with a large part of the population where I grew up, was.
Why not focus on an old 'Christmassy' track rather than this?

I'd like to hear some Christmas stuff being written but most of all, in the current day and age, I want X Factor bosses to realize that their attempt to occupy No.1 spot at Christmas every year, is a failure.

How droll and childish, unless my favourite doesn't win then I don't care. But these campaigns are tedious. They should get there on their own merits and not be forced just because you want to make someone angry.
That ridiculous "Fil" guy from auditions this year is supporting the campaign.
If that is not good enough reason to buy the X Factor winner's single, even if it is Sam Callahan singing 'I'd Rather Jack' by The Reynolds Girls, I don't know what is.

Do X Factor contestants singing a cover song with so much exposure getting to number1 get there on their own merits? If they just farted into a mic there would be mugs saying it's a good tune & would buy it, in fact it would probably have more soul than most of the crap dished out by this programme.

BIB they haven't been in the Christmas no. 1 race for the past two years, so it would be nice to get your facts straight.

To celebrate 40 years in the game.
About time. Far too long have Angus and chums languished in the shadows of chartism.
No, they haven't. They like it there. Bon Scott said so.
Beg your pardon ?

Through choice I hope

I like AC/DC
Iron Maiden could do their version of "Another rock n roll Xmas".

Well it's made you angry so that's a start.
Same applies to AC/DC with the hordes of rock music journos too afraid to criticise an act considered legendary.

Yes, instead of being mindless sheep and following the X Factor herd, lets instead be mindless sheep and follow the FB pack,
