No problem, each time you boot up, automatically it will search for an update.
Also as stated before the updates are staggered over a few days, to ensure not all the millions of units try and download from the server in one go.
Also by staggering the download if any issues are discovered with the new build not everyone should be effected.
Hope that clears things up?
That is not true. Google have enough bandwidth to do them all at the same time. don't forget they run youtube and other high bandwidth services. there just aren't that many nexus devices in the world that they would have to spend a week doing it. earlier this year all google services went down for 2 minutes and worldwide bandwidth dropped 40%
it is the other thing. that if issues are discovered they can pull the release.
Yep. Someone posted the OTA url on XDA. I downloaded it and did "adb sideload".
Kitkat is great and I've got the transparency due to the new Google search app. There's no ART on my 2012 Nexus 7 though which is disappointing. The device does feel more responsive now.
Just checked and I got an Android update to Jellybean 4.3.
Different wallpaper and the apps were updated. Now build no.JS15R - I think it was JS15L before.
Still no 4.4 update but some of the Google services have updated on my Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 the day.
Although my Nexus 4 still has the SMS app. Google hangouts now seems to be starting to take over.

Anyone else got it yet?
or here
You'd think a company like Google, much bigger than Apple, would be able to get this to everyone sharpish on the day they stated.
