Has the helicopter gone right through the roof? Sorry, I can't make out that picture very well.
If you look in the centre of the hole on the roof, you'll see a yellow circle. That appears to be the main rotor hub - to the right there is a long piece of metal with a yellow tip, which looks like one the the main rotor blades.

Thanks. The helicopter dropped like a stone out of the sky according to Jim Murphy MP, who witnessed it from a car park.
I just noticed that on google street view the same bike is still in the same place as it is after the incident, i guess it must be a regulars, hope he and everyone else aint too badly hurt.
From the sounds of it, looks like it ran out of fuel.
The Sun editor said he heard it misfiring as it dropped from the sky, add to that no fireball on impact.
Pilots and passengers are almost certainley dead
Hopefully no one in the pub is too badly injured.
If it is a fuel problem anyone who has knowledge of helicoptors know how/why that could be? Instrument error or human error?
Edited to add, apologies for the pizza police impersonation.:o
Very strange - the first picture I saw showed a dark-coloured helicopter sat, intact, on the roof of the pub. Later photos show a wreckage. ??
Maybe it dropped through the roof some time after the initial crash?
I used to live nearby. The pub's small, but likely to be packed on a Friday night. It's just near the St Enoch centre and off the Broomielaw (by the Clyde).

From the media studies angle, the BBC are using quite a lot of Twitter sources, but I haven't seen Sky using any yet.

Maybe the roof gave way

I don't imagine you were, Gordie. Lots of others were though.
What's the name on the twitter account?
Thoughts and prayers with everyone affected x
Oh, no. Looks like the rotor head is partly inside the pub and the body on the roof? As in, the rotor head has broken away from the body?
