What is it with DS and all these threads that do nothing but ask for personal details? If I were a paranoid cynic, I'd swear somebody was compiling a database of members and has now moved onto 'security question' answers.
I see your new here, once you have been on this forum for 4 years then you will understand.:p

I won't list the remainder of my extended family (nephews, nieces, great-nephews/great-nieces, cousins, aunts etc) as there are far too many (over 100 people) and I would be here all day.
I also don't know the details of my grandparents (all deceased) as I know very little about them as they weren't around when I was growing up (two of which were already dead before I was born).
My son 2008
Me 1970
Brother 1971
My Niece 2006
Mum 1947 (one of six)
Dad 1947 (one of three)
Paternal Grandfather 1921 (alive)
Paternal Grandmother 1925 I think (died aged 86)
Maternal Grandfather 1913 (died aged 69)
Maternal Grandmother 1920 (died aged 71)
On the OH's side the family tree goes back to 1541 (or 1547 can't remember off the top of my head). On my maternal grandmother's side it goes back to the 1700s.
Both sets of grandparents Late 1800's. Mum 1934-2011 and dad 1930-1994 (both sets grandparents married later than then norm. Oldest brother born 1968, next brother 1969 me 1973, next grandchild born 2005. Weird to see the jump from oldest greatgrandparent to oldest grandchild
Oh you should never ask a genealogist this question. Here's why. I'll go back on a random line. But I could do this for all of my great grand-parents...
My kids - lots of them, between 1989 and 2002.
Self: early 1960s
Brother: Mid 1950s
Mum: mid 1920s
Dad: mid 1920s
Dad's parents: 1899, (grandad) 1902 (grandma)
Mum's parents: 1891 (grandad), 1897 (grandma)
Random line (dad's dad's):
great grandad: 1871
grt grt grandad: 1829
grt grt grandad: 1799
grt grt grt grandad: 1779
All these were born in large cities in the West Riding of Yorkshire, up til my own kids.
The one born in 1829 (grt grt grandad) has the same first name (and surname as this son uses my maiden name) as one of my sons. Christened - unusually for that date - with the abbreviation not the full form of the name as is also on my son's birth cert. Same birthday also (but 171 years apart). When I named my son I hadn't traced this line at all, yet... Bit creepy.
Beyond this, not done yet although had a preliminary look and it appears they go way back in the same city and the same trade - but I have many lines back to the 16thC...

For all those who leave their family dates here there are just as many who never will.
