There will be 14 of us. We rig up a big table using some sheets of wood balanced on our dining table. We are hoping we can just about squeeze everyone round so that we don't have to banish anyone to the sofa with a tray. :)

Four, possibly five. Mum, two sisters, nephew maybe and myself. Still miss my Dad terribly at gatherings like this.

That's a lot! Where do you all eat?

In the dining room, but we usually cadge an extra table off my sister. :D

Last year was even busier as we had my sister's in-laws up from Kent.

Edit: just to add some context, 6 of those are me, my wife and kids, which would just be a normal meal time (7 if my eldest's boyfriend eats with us).

Was going to be me, my ex husband, our daughter, his other daughter and my ex in laws.
Oddly enough, that would have been lovely.
Plans have changed now and I will be with my mum and dad etc. 5 of us. Average I guess.

Whats the general view here about having xmas dinner on your knee in front of the tele?? I used to do it when I was a kid, I've got very fond memories of watching TOTPs with my Turkey and sprouts. :)

We weren't even allowed the telly on. My dad was strict with us and we had to sit at the table. They'll be five of us this Christmas.

A very sensible man. My own Dad was the same.....except we didn't have a telly!

Exactly what we do. Make our dinner in time for something we want to see and sit and relax. We have a lovely quiet day and see family on Boxing Day.

In total there will be 8 of us (including me) for Christmas dinner. Then we'll join some other family later on, making 10 for Christmas 'tea'.

Probably 7 if my bro and sis-in-law are over.

We never plan boxing day so I have no idea.

Nobody unless I'm invited over to one of my siblings' houses.

I had my dog for company last year but she fell ill on Christmas Day and had to be put to sleep on 29 December.
