Just wondering if anybody has any TV shows coming in 2014 they're looking forward to?

Old favourites are welcome on the list as well.

BBC have a huge series of programmes to mark the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of WW1, both factual and drama
    Sherlock series 4 is coming
And I have an awful feeling we might be seeing a new series of Still Open All Hours

I'm looking forward to Series 3 of Call the Midwife and Series 2 of The Bletchley Circle.

Also, the new Poldark is meant to be screened in 2014 and I can't wait to see how it will measure up to the memories of the original.

Wow. These suggestions prove nothing other than how dire British television has become. The Voice? Big Brother? Downton Abbey? Jesus...

Seems everything worth watching is coming out of the states or Canada: Game of Thrones, Bates Motel, The Americans, The Walking Dead etc

The only British television I can think of worth watching in the new year is Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe. Apart from that, I'm at a loss - unless a new series of Peep Show returns, or David Attenborough returns with another wildlife documentary.

The last series of Krister Wallander (Swedish)
The last series of Inspector Montalbano (Italian)
    Salamander (Belgian)

Also I think Season 2 of Hatufim, the Israeli programme that inspired Homeland is due to appear on Sky Arts 1 early in the year

I prefer to look forward to an announcement that Big Brother and its variants have been consigned to the reality crap dustbin of history where they should have gone years ago.
