Didn't I read somewhere that she is now debt free.
How has she managed that, with her obsession for buying overpriced designer tat aimed at idiots while supposedly being "broke" and living in her lovely house(s?) with her zoo?
There is nothing about LJ that makes sense. Nothing.

In a recent interview she stated that she earned £500k a year from the DM. I think that might have something to do with it.
Perhaps because she was never in debt . (At least not in the sense common folk might regard). Just a thought...
She was taken to court for non payment of bills and plenty of other things to indicate she was in debt. However her book bailed her out, didn't sell but bailed her out all the same.
I'm clearly not paying enough attention to minutiae of her ramblings/life as genuinely didn't know that . (I'm assuming it was reported/recorded elesewhere, as I'm sure none of us would take LJ's word for it).

No she wrote about the man who had the cheek to pursue what was owed to his company. Apparently the cad cited her record of non payment to other businesses and her own columns about the huge amount of debt she was in.
If the advance for her atrocious book didn't bale her out - and I have serious doubts it did, as an advance is just that: it has to be paid out of the income and is deducted from the royalties until it's covered... and we all know what a runaway best-seller it was) - then the fee for CBB very likely did, at least in part. In interviews around the time it was published, she mentioned that CBB had previously offered her £200K to appear.
That she has been in serious financial doo-doo isn't questioned, and the sudden freedom therefrom is, even for her, rather surprising.
I await her musings on her time in the house with, if not actually anticipation, then at least interest.
Having seen the video of D'Scrace, I am even more convinced it is a business arrangement and not the rampant sex fest she would have us believe. The bloke looks like your common or garden ageing hippy type as seen propping up bars around the country, and as for the grey window putty bread dough...bleurgh.
She is in big brother but we still got a dreary this week, must be why she was complaining of all that extra work before Christmas.:p
For those who haven't seen it, so far she has pottered about like a bewildered old lady or sat twiddling her hair and staring vacantly into space. Not the most exciting of housemates.
In last nights ep. she had a minor spat with Luisa from The Apprentice over the shopping. Lizbot wanted Illy coffee ( of course) where there was only instant on the list. We didn't see it all but Liz said " telling me it costs £40, stupid woman!" which Luisa pulled her up on for being rude. Lizbot mumbled and didn't seem to get that calling someone stupid is indeed rude.:p.
On Luisa's behalf, if I had never heard of Illy, I would assume LJ's coffee would be some super expensive ****, probably crapped out of the arse of a white gnu or something.

Ditto. I haven't actually heard of it until this post and I instantly assumed it was something specialist and pricy. So in Liz's world, I'm stupid too.
Brings back memories of Liz's delightful screeching at a poor local child in Somalia, having miraculously found her a jar of Nescafe after riding God knows how far on a donkey she berated him for using a whip on the donkey. Coffee is obvioulsy a tipping point for Liz, I hope they deprive her of it for however long she remains there and then her true colours will realy show.

I haven't been following CBB, but I did catch this bit last night....and it struck me as a perfect example of exactly what we all find so unpleasant about Liz. It's basically the same thing she does in her columns. First she makes a nasty, rude comment about someone,(Clare Balding, Kirsty Allsop, Holly W etc, in this case Luisa), then she gets criticised for it....and her reaction to the criticism is to act completely mystified as to why anyone would "attack" her, and pretend she "only said" something relatively harmless and non-personal, carefully editing out the insult and making it seem as if the criticism is for her opinion about the original subject, rather than her rude behaviour.
It was interesting to see this modus operandi "in the flesh", as it were. She was totally out of order for snapping "Stupid woman" at Luisa (I wonder how many checkout assistants and flight attendants recognised that moment of nastiness?), But when Luisa took her to task for it, Liz just looked blank and looped back to talking about the original subject of disagreement (the coffee), completely ignoring the fact that she'd been rude and insulting.
I didn't see the rest of the show, so I don't know if anyone pressed her on it (or "bullied" her, as I daresay she would regard any justified criticism). Was there any comeback, or did she get away with it? Oh dear, I'm going to have to watch the show now, aren't I? Or has she been evicted?
Got to admire the sheer brass neck of the old hag: twisting the truth (that JK's lawyers told her to stop heavily hinting the FRS was him) into him stopping her from giving his name.
But, as FQ rightly points out, moot as the FRS never existed outside of her limp imagination.
JK is Jim Kerr who was heavily hinted to be her boyfriend (until he threatened her with legal action) whom she called the Former Rock Star in her columns. To date she has never named the F.R.S. and most people doubt she ever will as it was widely assumed that he was a figment of her imagination.
I watched about half the first episode of BB but couldn't bear it any longer. However I will say that I was surprised as she looked a lot nicer than I thought she would
Amazing how her tenure in the house is getting barely any coverage in the newspaper that she works for though? You'd barely know she was in there! I can only surmise that (like others have said) there'll be some big exclusive farticle when she's voted out where she'll no doubt turn on everyone, particularly the housemates that she's been nice to face to face!
I for one don't blame Luisa for thinking it was really expensive coffee. The way Liz behaves and constantly drops expensive brand names in her columns Luisa probably thought it had added gold leaf and was ground in virgins thighs! I am very glad to hear that she stood up to her for the 'stupid woman' comment, Liz won't be used to getting pulled about her bad behaviour face to face

Thanks for that link, sunstone! Off to watch it now. I tried to fight the urge to watch CBB, but I think I'll have to give in to temptation. I switched over just now and saw a preview clip of Liz sitting in the Diary room saying "If we were at school together she'd probably bully me." So it looks like she's doing her usual thing of playing the victim and accusing other people of bullying, even though she's the one who's behaved badly! Typical!
Re FRS, I always thought the F stood for Fictitious!
Jones (almost) invariably referred to him as the RSBF - Rock Star BoyFriend - except once (to my recall) when she stated it stood for Really Sweet Bonking Friend. The FRS appellation, I'm proud to say, originated on this very forum.

First time I've heard of this. Lizard is well and truly an irredeemable, disgusting piece of shit. It almost makes me wish insane asylums were still around, because she would have most certainly deserved her place in one.
You would hardly credit it but someone has created a Liz Jones Appreciation Thread on the BB Forum! They've clearly never a) read any of her bleating atrocities or b) followed this thread.

Ha! Shows how much notice I actually took of the abreviation in her column doesn't it? I take much more notice of the comments underneath and this thread
Thanks for the correction Bellagio.
Really Sweet Bonking Friend? OMG. I think I'm going to hurl ....

Who is JK and who is FRS please.
PM me if it's not possible to post outright.
Thanks.

This video went up today of what the girls think of her.

Seems they think she is still a mag editor but are bemused by the timid mouse behaviour.:D
