Would it be accepted, is it not Lower Saxony in English?

You could tell by the amount of chatter before that they were going to get it quickly.

Hahaha - a spelling mistake in the sausage round. It's not "Á l'ancienne", but "À l'ancienne" - shown with an acute accent, instead of a grave accent.

THIS time, I got a photo, and this will go onto the DS Group on flickr when I get round to it!!!

    :D

ETA: A-acute isn't part of the French language: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%81

Lower Saxony is a different state. Sachsen-Anhalt is Saxony-Anhalt in English.

    Schtonk!

I remember a review for that film, it simply said 'Schtunk!'

It was a very good film actually about a guy who forged Hitlers diaries and sold them to a German newspaper.

    One state and two films.

    North Rhine-Westphalia
    The Lives of Others
    The Baader-Meinhof Complex
    Boss

Triple pointless in the final round is rare indeed. Well done :kitty:

I enjoyed Schtonk! It was about the forged Hitler Diaries that fooled Hugh Trevor Roper.

Would have won the final. Problem is that I wouldn't have got there.

The Linguists had a bit of an advantage today

The Lander were going to be easy if Schleswig-Holstein was pointless.

I was thinking East 17 too (like someone else went for) but I wasn't sure - they said Stay was their only number 1 but I presume they meant Stay Another Day, their Christmas song?.
