Didn't they cover DIon's Runaround Sue later in the year - then disappear?

They had a Number Two hit with Some Girls later in 1979. Runaround Sue was released in 1980.

Oh no, not Brotherhood Of Man. Thought we had seen the last of them in 1978. They really are hanging around. A bit like trying to kick off a rabid dog with its teeth sunk into your ankle. Not nice. :(

I don't remember this Brotherhood Of Man rubbish!

    Goodbye is an appropriate title.

    Which series was that?

    Happy Families.

Ben Elton penned 80's sitcom, back when he could still write.

It featured virtually every 'alternaitve comedy' person you can think of, and Una Stubbs!

If BOM are going to be around, then at least sing happy pop songs - not some dirge about misery.

Ah, the school disco favourite. Loved it then, still love it now even though it's been played to death.

Another good track (September). I can never decide whether this, Fantasy or After The Love Has Gone is their best single.

All three excellent, but Fantasy just a class above.

Don't tell anyone but apparently this song as gay connotations.

ah, 'YMCA'. I bought it at the time, on the pretence I was going to buy every number 1 throughout 1979. A plan that actually was working as I indeed buy every number 1. Until 'Bright Eyes' got to number 1, at which point even I had to give up and I never bought it...

ONE. OF. THE. ALL. TIME. BEST. SONGS. EVER.

    Just to let you know.

Normally agree with you Little Girl, but, like "Baker Street" the year before, I've never understood the love for "Rhythm Stick".
