I don't know if out of tune is the right way to describe him but Ian Curtis kinda spoke over songs rather than sang. I don't care though as I love Joy Division. In fact I like quite a few of the songs/bands listed in this thread tbh even if vocal-wise they were not perfect.
Robbie williams
Britney Spears
kEsiha
Kylie And Dannii MInogue
Victoria BEckham
One Direction
Katie Perry
Justin B
Latoya and Janet Jackson
Avril Lavigne
Cheryl Cole
Robin THickie
I was just listening to "Zoom" by Fat Larry's Band and became aware that the singer is a bit wayward with his pitch when singing this song, yet it still reached number 1.
Another song where pitching is a slightly off is "The Only Way is Up" by Yazz and this also went to number 1.
Do you have any other favourite songs where the singer is not quite in tune and do you prefer this to the auto-tuned, over produced vocals on tracks today?
LOADS of songs have out of tune singers. I think when there was a big dance scene in the late 80's & 90's singers could almost get away with it as the dance music almost drowned out the vocals.
Recent examples: entire Katy Perry back catalogue!:D
I esp love in Its Raining Men she's supposed to sing this big line, but the production staff put loud crashing music over the top out to drown out her vocals!:D
She really is godawful, Katy Perry is a vocal genius next to her.

agree with all except Robin Thicke.. when was he out of tune
I will admit that I have caught what I think might be considered off moments here and there when listening to my most favorite singer James Otto, but if that is what they are, I don't have a problem with it. I love how James sounds and his not doing anything to make himself sound different only makes me love him even more! I love the way that his voice already is! How can you not love a person when they sing with the precious and beautiful heart that they have?

I've heard them live and Florence was fine, completely in tune.
Sorry, I quite like her, but when ever she sung "You got the Love", I cringed on her high note
Rhythm Stick, Walk On The Wild Side, What A Waste, Perfect Day, Reasons To Be Cheerful, Last Great American Whale.
He was mentioned in the third post!
and oh yeah 1D - best song ever most definately!
When I saw Oasis it was their bass player that was out of tune, not their singer(s).
No amount of autotuning...
I loved Johnny Marr's jangly guitar intros..then miseryguts started droning on.
Yeah,I know they were his songs and he's a songwriting genius, but still...
