I've never avoided a fashion trend because I've never followed a particular fashion. I was a child in the 70s, a teenager in the 80s and in my 20s in the 90s but I've never worn flares, was a Goth in the 80s (apart from a period when I was fascinated with the 1950s and wore clothes accordingly) and tended to live in jeans in the 90s.
Yeah I had avoided this trend up until around 2 weeks ago. I've recently had an operation on each foot and uggs have been the most comfortable shoes I could have bought! So well worth the money!
I still cannot stand the synthetic ugg boots, they lose their shape and make people walk like twits
I was fashionable for about a week in the very early Eighties when I insisted my mother bought me a ra ra skirt, I looked the bees knees! No other fashion has ever got me excited enough to join in with.
I can't think of one I haven't gone for in the past, from shell suits to the Spice girl's blonde stripe through the hair, to low slung combats and ripped jeans.
These days I usually wear a pair of work trousers or skirt with a blouse to the office and when I go home I put on joggers or pyjamas so I don't even know what today's trends are.

Ooh actually now you've mentioned it, I did have a ra ra skirt so I guess I was fashionable in the 80s

You're welcome.
Short for ugly.

I'm sticking to flat shoes and boots now.
