I got a notification that a small update was available, some kind of download manager. Once I downloaded that, and restarted the phone, it informed me that Android 4.3 and Sense 5.5 was available for download.
This is an unlocked HTC One on EE
Official version is 3.62.401.1 (675.48MB)

Some people have already reported receiving it on branded devices. (They might mistakenly believe that their phones are branded)
Turn NFC off .
Thanks - that got rid of it.
The one thing that they've taken away is the lock screen options. Bit daft of them.
Swipe the screen to the left on the lockscreen to show the widget screens (as on stock Android) click the large + to add content
The One uses the Sense dialer rather than stock. The Sense dialer has had autocomplete for a while now , you don't need to turn it on. (In fact, you can't turn it off as far as I know)
The option used to be in the "Personalise" section of Settings.
It's now under Security - Notification Settings.
Thank you, thought I was going mad, only had the phone a few weeks so still getting to grips with it.
:-)
Very quick authorization of update.
Obviously though Android 4.3 is mainly background stuff but it is nice to have the update. Honestly shocked that HTC are already promising 4.4 for the HTC One.
I will check when my phone is charged for you. HTC UK on twitter today promised roll out of Android 4.4 from end of January so even if it hasn't it not a massive wait.
January apparently, so not long to go at all! Right before we get news of HTC One 2 lol
Good times if you own a one
