Breakfast, lunch and dinner or breakfast, dinner and tea?

That thread on whether midnight is the start of the next day or the end of the previous day has reminded me of the somewhat contentious topic, going by how it has gone down on here before, of the naming of the three main meals in a typical day.

It's been a while since we last attempted to settle this pressing issue so I feel it's time for the next round. :D

Do you say breakfast, dinner and tea or is it breakfast, lunch and dinner? Or even breakfast, lunch and tea? Maybe you can't quite make up your mind?

I'm in the "breakfast, dinner and tea" camp myself.

I can't remember the last time it was done. It makes a change from all the religion threads. :)

    Breakfast.
    Lunch always.
Tea if eating at home and dinner if eating out anytime after 6pm.

Only a few weeks ago from memory but we have Breakfast, Dinner, Tea in my house apart from my OH who has Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner (cos he's from Devon).

Breakfast, lunch and dinner to me.

Tea is any hot drink - coffee, hot chocolate or indeed, tea.

I must have missed that one. The mods can always merge the thread if they feel the need.

I eat when I'm hungry. I call breakfast breakfast because there's no other name for it really, after that I just call it food

It's been done pretty recently and I'm sure will be done again in the not too distant future.

DS really is the door to the past at times.

If you mean some of whatever's leftover from the night before then I do that too.

Probably because I never eat cereal in the mornings - only afternoons and evenings.

Breakfast, lunch and then it depends on the time as to whether it is tea or dinner , and later on its supper.

no, a proper dinner, when i wake [around midnight] is my hungriest time of day, it seems natural.
