I remember a couple of the BBC look and read programmes from school , one was the boy from space with a freaky looking lad with white hair in a silver boiler suit lol and the other was dark towers or something
When I was in primary school in the 70s we watched Sky Hunter. That was the Look and Read series about Peregrine Falcons.
The Kit Curran Radio Show
A Small Problem
Comrade Dad
William Tell
The Saint (1989 Simon Dutton version)
Maigret (Richard Harris version, set in 1988)
A Pinch of Snuff (Hale and Pace in the first TV version of Dalziel and Pascoe)
The Boy Who Won the Pools
How to Be Really Cool (featuring Gary Glitter grooming kids for stardom).
Remember that, written by Andy Hamilton. The theme tune (ultrafantastico) was released as a single which I'm ashamed to say, I have in my collection
I hated the theme tune to Tales Of The Unexpected, not because it was a bad piece of music, but because it reminded me of Sunday nights and school the next day.
Some of the episodes were creepy and cringeworthingly cheesy at the same time, like the man who turned into a bee
Eat your words - no one remembers this because it was a kids show on at 6am in the morning but the contestants were given word puzzles and if they lost the round, had to eat something rank.
Fingerbobs - If you remember this you most likely tried to make your own.
Crazy Cottage - A backwards Fun House in a nutshell.
Minty - A British girl swaps lives with her Aussie doppelganger.
NY-LON - A cross Atlantic romance. I'd forgotten about this so much that when reading the Wikipedia entry I didn't realise that Stephen Moyer and Rashida Jones were the two leads.
At Home with the Braithwaites - I think it's been mentioned on this thread but I was a fan.
Bromwell High - No one ever talks about this animated series.

The Kit Curran Radio Show was hilarious, but almost forgotten now.
As for The Saint, I saw one about someone trying to rebuild the Berlin Wall and decided once was enough.

I loved Fingerbobs when I was little.
If we're staying on lesser known kids shows from the 70s and 80s how about:
It was made fairly local to me and there was a giant banana in the car park outside the studio.
It's probably not Saturday Banana then since I only remember shows from around 1990 onwards. But there was an early morning show in the 90s with inflatable bananas. Unless it was repeated.

I had the same feeling for the That's Life theme tune.
Big John Little John remember vividly from when I was a kid. And Sledgehammer is BRILLIANT. "Trust me, I know what I'm doing." He didn't. The Gaffer was early Eighties and I liked it.
To add a few;
Fantastic Journey.
The Changes.
Both Seventies. Edit: So got the wrong decade for this thread. Sorry about that!
Was going to ask, was Sledgehammer the one where he always said... "Trust me, I know what I'm doing" Hilarious!
Benson Kate & Allie
Partners In Crime (Loni Anderson & Lynda Carter) Barney Miller
Trapper John, M.D.
That's My Boy
Love these shows.
Add 'Chance in a Million' (Simon Callow and Brenda Blethyn at their comedic best) and the brilliant HBO series 'Dream On' with Brian Benben (although I doubt they'd get away with half of it today).

How about The Saturday Banana? Another Saturday morning kids show.
No one seems to remember that.

I vaguely remember that but only the inflatable bananas.

If we're staying on lesser known kids shows from the 70s and 80s how about:
How We Used To Live
Picture Box
Words and Pictures
The Book Tower (creepy theme tune).
Marmalade Atkins
Tucker's Luck
It was late 70s/early 80s.
It was made fairly local to me and there was a giant banana in the car park outside the studio.

Was big John Little John the same as Big Seamus little Seamus?
Chopper Squad
Triangle
Absolutely ( great 90s comedy sketch show)
The scarecrow and Mrs King
Saturday night live
1. Does anyone remember Wizadora?
2. Was anyone else freaked out when the characters changed?
I had the same feeling for the That's Life theme tune.
Written by Andy Hamilton & starring Neil Pearson
Started in a decent time slot, didn't do so well so the BBC moved it to a graveyard slot
Was going to ask, was Sledgehammer the one where he always said... "Trust me, I know what I'm doing" Hilarious!
I remember Wizardora, wasn't it pippa the post woman who got changed?

Brookie spinoff?
Twas indeed. I loved Damon in Brookside (especially the YTS episodes) but couldn't take to this spin-off.
I'd like to add Rhoda to my list but I think it was from the 70's.
