Hope it doesnt snow this year!
Mother Nature will soon sort those idiots out.;-)
Doesn't summer "officially" start in June?
Officially it is on 21st June, meteorologically on 1st june
forget equinoxes that refer to cosmic matters as weather happens in the bottom 10 miles above our heads.
If you are talking about weather then its 1 june. end of.
It was nice walking sister's dog without a jacket or a coat..nice to show my new curves off , and having the light breeze blow my hair
.
Probably confused and who can blame him
British
Summer
Time begins,
So it is now Summer Time
says it on every diary and calendar.
.
lol
as I have said before
I have a spring mattress but its not weather related
words can have dual meanings
No wonder there is some confusion. Caling the first day of British Summer Time the first day of Summer is hardly a hanging offence.
BST begins at 01:00 GMT on the last Sunday of March and ends at 01:00 GMT on the last Sunday of October;
So who really is the `Thicko?`
BST starts in the spring and ends in the autumn. It's called Summer Time for convenience, as summer is obviously not here just yet!
But none of that changes the fact that statement 'Today is the first day of Summer Time' (or WTTE) is perfectly accurate.
At the risk of being pedantic, I think that Midsummer's Day is 24th June.
Summer time and The Summer ( as in the season) are not the same thing at all
Don't you mean astrology?;-)
We are now in the summer half (loosely) of the year.
It's not hard to understand.
No, thats mid summer
