it was a fairly badly written thread starter from the OP but its the replies back which are really pathetic and follow in the footsteps of Nick Clegg last night on how to lose the argument with silly personal attacks on Nigel. I guess some people must be pretty disgruntled about Nigel doing so well in the debates.
When one dick gets beaten by another dick in a debate it doesn't magically make the winner not a dick.
For such a non entity he sure seems to have rattled a few cages.:D
As the people on this thread are so obviously superior to just about everybody else in the country, perhaps they could explain the non racist policy we currently operate that allows any European to enter the country without a visa yet people from elsewhere in the world are restricted.
Surely we don't favour Europeans over Africans?
That would be racist wouldn't it?
Because he speaks the truth and some people don't want to give what is the English version of Robert E Lee. A hero.
I'm assured by a UKIP supporter that it's too early to tell. Which is why we don't know. However, there have been no reports of millions of Romanians and Bulgarians flooding into the country so far this year, which particular happening concerned UKIP enough to add that flash to their pamphlet and produce a leaflet about it (not available when I looked).
I didn't agree with his views before, and I don't agree with his views now. So in answer to the original question, what I have to say is exactly the same as before. I don't agree with his views.
I thought his presentation was better.
The clarity of his position was better.
His perception of his "relationship" with complete strangers in the audience was better.
His control of his emotions was better.
His timing was better.
The fact that I would choose Nick Clegg as a better Coalition Partner or as a better person to live next door to provides no comfort and does not change the outcome of the debate.
ROMA migrants coming to Britain to milk the benefits system are exposed in a shock new TV show.
Among the “stars” of Channel 5’s Gypsies On Benefits And Proud is one-time beggar Viorel Dinu, right, now living in Nottingham on £750 a month in hand-outs.
Don't be surprised is the EU supporters claim its just the figment of someones imagination :o
British people milking the benefit system are OK then???
Read the original post again. It calls out for critics of Nigel Farage to say what they think of him now that a TV documentary has exposed some cheating immigrants. It's no wonder people are responding in kind. It's the same kind of tactic you're decrying his political opponents for in this post and hardly inspires respectful debate.
I know what the OP said. I'm just saying it's poor debating tactics to dish out childish insults, as opposed to meaningful criticism.
Provided he reads DS, otherwise they won't have much effect upon him and his policies.
He heard David Cameron's infantile insults though. Something about "fruit loops" iirc ?
They aren't the facts though faithy, maybe you should educate yourself before commenting on a subject you know little about.
We commited ourselves to EU membership in 1975 after a referendum, but what the people voted for was a free trade area not the monstrosity which the eu has morphed into. The people were blatently lied to in 1975 and have been taken for fools ever since.
I am educated on the facts thanks. I said WE as in the people who voted the government in at the time. You have not corrected me merely backed up my point. The fact that they were lied too isn't the point. I said WE voted in the gov and they voted it in, which is what happened. Next time you're going to talk down to someone make sure of your facts.

....and the fact that the Deputy prime Minister could not provide one good reason why he is wrong makes absolutely no difference;-)
You used the word "better". I was merely asking in what sense you thought he was so.
If one runner beats another runner is he a 'better' runner. If a debating dick beats another debating dick is he a better debating dick than the other? It was not my choice of phraseology but it makes common sense, God forbid that you apply it. I still say that if the beaten debating dick is the Deputy PM of UK then that seems to me at least to be a problem. Unless of course a dick is something special. If you want a definition of dick then you will need to go back to another poster.
Superior person here reporting for Geography Teaching. Africa isn't in the EU. We agreed a free flow of people from the EU. Not Africa, Africa has nothing to do with this and to attempt to use it to say "well we're not letting africans in" as some kind of reverse racism tactic is ridiculous. But here have an apple from teacher
Who is this "we" you talk of ?
I can't remember being asked if i wanted to give half a billion people right of access to the uk ?
Are you part of the superior political elite that decided they know what's best for the British inhabitants ?
The WE is general as in WE the british public as in WE voted in a gov that joined the EU, that WE is you and me. Now you can bitch all you like but thems the facts.

Ok wine time !
We as in the people, have never voted for free movement of people within Europe, which is what we were originally debating about.

An hour and a half with no reply?

But it does make the winner a better dick than the deputy prime minister of the UK, which of course is a very worrying thought.
"Better" in what sense?
In the context of the quote I replied to.
It just makes them a dick who's better at arguing on telly. Not sure if that makes them "better" in any real sense.
You used the word "better". I was merely asking in what sense you thought he was so.

Couldn't have put it better,

Cameron has made an enemy for life.
The woman on QT made me smile when she said she was waiting for them to drop their trousers to see who had the biggest one.
Sums it up nicely.
We as in the people in general, don't make me say it a third time its beyond obvious. Well aren't you a little charmer.
