It was funny when he did one on Jon Pertwee, who reacted with quaint bemusement at being given a trophy; he had obviously never heard of the Gotchas and had no idea what it was, and seemed to have only a vague idea of who Noel Edmonds was. It took him several seconds after the "reveal" to realise that he had even been the subject of any sort of practical joke.
Is there a list of all the Gotcha the series did over the 8 years? Can anyone remember everyone that got one?
There used to be a really good website that a member on here created for Noel's House Party. He owned every episode of the tv series & his website covered every episode in detail. In saying all that this was about 4 or 5 years ago.I was reminded of the website last year but when i went searching for it i could no longer find it.

Not quite the case. But it's a very endearing Gotcha on what seems like a really delightful man.
One of the most amusing reveals for the frozen look on his face as the penny finally dropped.
Then there was the complete opposite, when they did a rather poor Gotcha on Trevor MacDonald who didn't see the funny side and refused to come to the studio as a guest on the night they showed it.
The other most notable one I remember was one they did on Derek Jameson which was entirely based around him previously saying "you'll have to get up very early in the morning to catch me" - and they did just that by staging a fake fire alarm in a hotel he was staying in and evacuating him and everyone else at about 3am.

Any ideas what is was called? It might still be on Internet Archive.

Blimey! If I'd been staying at that hotel, I would've twatted Edmonds.
I can vaguely remember an excellent 'Gotcha' with Tom O'Connor the Irish Comedian. The plot was that, he was supposedly making a golf tutorial video with odd things happening like, a shotgun going off nearby just as he was making a shot. Also, some old guy had an apparent 200 year old golf ball for Tom to putt with and, as he did so, it shattered into a million pieces - much to the staged consternation of the owner. And so on... The funniest part was Tom's comments getting increasingly acerbic as more and more things happened!
Unfortunately I can't find it anywhere on You tube, etc.

Unfortunately i can't remember the address, which is bugging me.I was even trying to remember his username. All I seem to to recall just now is that his first name was Patrick.

I vaguely recall one early gotcha on a member of the public where a very broad accented Scot very nearly did smack him one. It was something to do with ice cream at the sea side, but the punter clearly had no idea who Edmunds was. Wish he had, I've never been happy about Joe Public being wound up for other people's entertainment. Zelebs are fair game though:D
Originally called the "Gotcha Oscars" until the threat of legal action from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (which also prompted a redesign of the award)[citation needed], hidden camera practical jokes were played on celebrities. Notable victims were Barbara Windsor, Carol Vorderman, Jill Dando, Dave Lee Travis, Richard Whiteley, Eddie Large, Samantha Janus, Yvette Fielding, Status Quo, and the Queens Park Rangers football club, although in the final series Dale Winton turned the tables on Edmonds with a surprise challenge that ended with a gunging. Another notable victim was Annabel Giles, the first victim who managed to spot the hidden camera, which had been placed in the back of a car, which meant the prank backfired. Maggie Philbin became aware that she was part of a 'Gotcha' within seconds of the filming beginning, even though she did not spot any cameras. She left the set up seemingly to get help for the stranded victim seeking her aid, but never returned. When she appeared in the studio later to 'review' the skit and be presented with her 'Gotcha', she admitted that she had gone shopping.
Comments
To be honest, Swap Shop was after Pertwee's time on Who.
If it had started earlier, he would have been a guest surely?

The first one was a good one. The second was rubbish.

Also Teri Hatcher.
There are some other people mentioned in the Noel's House Party entry on Wikipedia, see:- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noel%27s_House_Party#Gotcha
I thought he was from Liverpool?
He is indeed English.
Very cleverly thought out.
I've no recollection of Janice Long being Gotcha'd in the way you say.
