Second quarter's best so far: Todd Terje - It's Album Time.
Having said that, no release has truly grabbed my attention and made me want to give it anything more than a 6-7/10, sadly. Maybe the aforementioned pair will grow on me though.
Helena Paparizou - One Life
Shakira - Shakira
Looking forward to:
Lily Allen - Sheezus
Foxes - Glorious
And I'll probably check out the new albums from J Lo, Mariah and Lykke Li at some point.

This is my thoughts on anything this year so far, I've also been struggling to compile a top 20 singles playlist of the year so far, this time last year I had well over 60 by this point. 2014 has been a weak year so far in term of great singles and albums. I'm hoping it starts improving.
We're still very early on in 2014 but having said that, 2013 was such an excellent year for me for finding new music that it would be very hard for 2014 to compare favourably to it.
CHVRCHES, Classixx, Janelle Monae, HAIM, Daft Punk, Gold Panda, The Range, Sky Ferreira and Kelela all released albums that were 8+/10 for me. I genuinely don't think I will live through another year like it, where I will connect with it's new music so well.
So far this year, 2014 has been a disappointment. Nu-disco is probably my absolute favourite genre and Todd Terje has just released probably the Nu-Disco album of the year and I'm just not blown away by it at all. It's kinda like how I feel about Disclosure, I want to love the album, the album is right up my street genre-wise and yet I only enjoy listening to it about 20% of the time

It's basically a pretty ridiculous fusion of J-pop and extreme metal, and yes that's every bit as hilarious (and surprisingly enjoyable) as it sounds.
I have odd taste, what can I say
