I think on the iPhone one is the speaker and the other one is a mic?
It makes the Samsung devices look very over priced and I also asked them on twitter if the prices for the UK include VAT (I am guessing not).
Oh okay my bad lol I doubt I will be only one make that mistake. Still don't think it's a brilliant place to put speakers HTC have the right idea on the front.
The phone looks pretty long so adding front facing speakers would mean an even longer phone and/or a smaller screen and if the quality is good with headphones then for me that's more important.
True enough I use my Shure 535 SE far more than I do my speakers though it is nice to have those front facing speakers when you want show a funny youtube video to friends.
No support for 800mhz just the bands below.
FDD LTE:
700 (band 17), 1700/2100 (band 4), 1800 (band 3), 2100 (band 1), 2600 (band 7) MHz
TDD LTE:
2300 (band 40), 2600 (band 38) MHz
And only a £40 price difference for going from 16gb to 64gb!! Some companies would do well to take notice of that!!
I read a write up on the Oneplus the other day which was raving about its comprehensive LTE support.
I should relearn to take stuff with a pinch of salt.
It makes it a no brainer to get the 64gb version at only £40 like you said just hope they support more LTE bands as its a bit too restrictive right now for traveling.
Comprehensive until you go into most parts of Europe!
Any phone that can incorporate 64gb storage and top specs at Nexus price point has to be a winner. Even managed to get what appears to be a very good camera, using a Sony chip. Will need to see a proper review though of a working model, but so far looks an excellent choice for under £300.
First of all this is awesome- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WhQEondW3K4
And now here are a couple of first looks and comparisons

And here is the full press conference but you need to know Chinese to watch it. It's a fairly basic event. Nothing special.

As I mentioned in the China thread, you would need to budget on the possibility of 20% vat and handling charge on import.
I think if you added VAT it would mean only the 16gb model would be under the promised £290 as the 32Gb would push it to £320 or thereabouts.
And besides they have a manufacturing plant in europe/UK so the price should include VAT.
Looks like it's using the quick boot like the HTC One M7 pretty impressive I must say.
They will have warehouses in the UK and Europe, so no import fees etc to worry about.
I know what you mean its 7mm taller than the M8 and thats freaking huge
Think i will stick with my plan to get the G3 when thats out.
You can buy a G2 for that and now we have the S5 I'm sure the S4 will be about the same very soon.
The S4 is a tad under £300 now.

When the iPhone originally launched, despite high costs I think it was sold direct £300. I'm sure networks pushed up RRP for good reason, despite manufacturing being cheap through maturity.
Its £229 final price. No other phone sold in the UK can match it.
If you mean Apple, I think it knows exactly what it's doing! People will willingly pay a huge surcharge for extra storage, so why would you not continue to do so?
