HD Category now added to Freesat
We now have a HD category.
As part of Freesat's on-going commitment to deliver our great line-up of 11 subscription free HD channels, a dedicated HD category has been added to the channel category list, making it easier for you to find out what to watch in HD.
If you have got a Freetime box, select 'list' on your remote control when you're in the TV Guide to see the list of channel genres.
If you don't have a Freetime box, you'll see 'HD' included in the list of categories when you open the TV Guide.

My TiVo has no such function, but I do limit the channel line up using favourites.
I no longer worry about SD or HD, much more interested in content. Do like films in HD though but that is because a lot of HD channels carry the sound in DD 5.1 whereas the SD channels are limited to 2.0. ITV broadcasts nothing in DD so that is a bust anyway.
Unless they do on Freesat?
ITV-HD uses DD on Freesat (I thought that ITV HD Freeview used aac audio which is output as DD anyway). I will have a look to see. There's no 5.1 on ITV HD though only DD2.0.

106
107

206
209
600
601

LCN order
The few none HD stuff is the odd documentary from Yesterday and Quest on Freeview and I am currently recording the old Dr Who stuff from Horror on Freesat.
I love free TV.
I've had an HD category on my Humax Foxsat forever.
I guess then for the Welsh, Scots and NI viewers it will look uniform but for us in England we'll have BBC Two before BBC One! Maybe the Beeb should put BBC Two HD back on 109 until BBC One HD is regionalised to 101 (a fair way off I guess).
