Some photos I took with the camera I've had since 2007. I should really get a new camera. Photobucket seems to have compressed the files so they're not high resolution anymore. These have been taken when either out on a walk or when in Consett.
nope it was a crappy camera , I have a better one now
Auto focus should help.
My problem is getting the colour and light levels right.
I could do it with a set up photo and with plenty of time, but if I had to take a photo of something happening quickly then I would spend too much time changing the settings and the thing would have happened.

I love taking pic's of my bird but he moves quickly , I have many blurred shots of him lol,
the last one of him I posted is my current favourite as he stayed still and allowed me to get a good close up of him

Hi everyone.
I haven't used Photobucket for a while and it's changed a little.
Every attempt to upload a single image is revealing my whole album.
I've tried copying and pasting each option on the right -
Email & IM
Direct

but each gives access to my full album.
Loving the Fox pictures, especially the 2nd one with the bright background
I went to a local zoo to me earlier in Cromer, which is one of the smallest zoos that I have been to & the animals there were quite camera shy, but I did manage to get shots of most of the animals there, and while there is a lot of room for improvement, I am quite happy with some of the pictures, with it being the first time that I have taken pictures of animals with my camera.

There are some lovely photos in this thread !
I take a lot of photos and have over 3000 posted on Buzznet and some on Flickr . I don't have a DSLR but a bridge Sony camera which I love.

Lovely grab shot, you have to be quick to snap those little buggers
A zoo is a good place to take photos as there are some good subjects.
Did the bars of the cages cause problems with the focus?
The snapper (no pun intended), was a Spectacled Caiman which is a crocodilian reptile
As for the focusing it was the bars and user error. I was trying to find a decent bit of the cage where I could reach the animal & attempt to blur out the bars using a wide aperture. Unfortunately it didn't go the way I planned.

Haven't captured anything beautiful, boring things.
Thanks, helps that it was -15 C and everything was still!
This one is a little out of focus. Does your camera have auto focus when you press the button half way?

Love this one https://www.flickr.com/photos/73379787@N02/14015183321/ - she's very photogenic and has a wonderful natural looking expression.

Very nice but don't you think you could brighten the Green up more?
Just my style of photography when it comes to flowers koan, I like to snap them against a black background etc
Nice depth of field in this one.

You are luckier than me...by the time I've done the settings the monsters have gone
