Is violent media to blame for this, shows like Game Of Thrones? There needs to be more research into this. Children should not be playing violent video games or watching pornographic or violent tv shows, imo
I'm sorry but this bleach poisoning incident and the stabbing incident sound very similar to plot lines in Game Of Thrones, this is deeply concerning.
Children are untouchable. That's the problem. They think they can do anything they want because they know they're more important than teachers, and that gets some of them to a point where their point of view is so warped that they think they can make an attempt on our lives. I've been assaulted at work too and the kid basically just grinned because he knew nothing would happen.
it's not going to get any better while teachers are run down in the media by the government and their own head teachers. Kids already think they are the masters and teachers the servants.
It wouldn't surprise me if this sort of thing has always happened but never comes to anything and the only reason these cases are getting media attention is because of the tragic stabbing. Otherwise they'd just pass by without attention.
When I was at school years ago a fellow pupil was "plotting" something with car deicer but obviously never actually did it. It was just talk. I think the police/schools are just being ultra cautious at the moment. Similar to whenever there is a school shooting in the US.. any 'threat' of one over here is taken very seriously.

Something is deeply concerning, I tend to agree.
School teachers need more powers. This country is run by the era where no crap was taken.
