Am I the only one annoyed by Frozen

Yeah I know it's a movie about freaking fairly tale Disney princess animation. I just don't understand all the hype the success, box office hits, store shelves blurays are selling out like cupcake. Disney frozen merchandise are selling fast too. Not to mention the annoying a** song Let it Go is like the a hit on billboard and on uk charts. What is it with this film that is creating all this buzz and all these people wanting to buy Frozen goodies?>:(

I think you're more offended by it's success rather than the actual movie.

I don't mind it but I do think it is very overhyped.

    Tangled was better.

No you're not. I had to sit through it in the cinema with my Daughter and the soundtrack was hell. So many screeching grating songs in inglorious surround sound. It was painful, it really was. I like a good animation but wasn't particularly impressed with the film either.

Kids these days wouldn't stop singing that and it makes my blood boil. Hardly the song of the year. I don't even know how it won the best song at Oscars. Very catchy, repetitive, typical pop trash.

As the OP should be instead of feeling the need to tell eveyone.

The Hype is because that was then and this is now.
Frozen is New and parents are curious by New, whereas children want New.

Well I'm not sure why. I watched the film for the first time last week and my reaction was "is that it?"

Bit of an over the top reaction just ignore it. You seem to be one of them people who are perpetually outraged.

it's another generic Disney ' cash machine ' film , I don't understand why they are popular as they all seem to have the same plot line , but I guess if you are a kid you don't care lol.

tbh I would love to see just one Disney film where the ' princess ' looks more natural ie not stick thin etc but I can't see it happening .

Anyway Both kids and Adults love the film so if they want all the toys/dvds that go with it , it's their money

It was my reaction too but the kids love it and i guess thats why its popular at the minute but like everything else something new will come along which will steal everyones focus.

It's because it's a good film with a funny character that people like so they buy the merchandise, like they do with many films. Like... erm... Minions from Dispicable Me. When films have very endearing, funny characters it can lead to people sort of, becoming fans of the character and buying stuff.

I don't see why this should annoy you though, it's easy to avoid... it takes no effort to avoid at all.

That Let It Go song is annoying, I'm sure it was Demi Lovato who sang it?

Please don't make me get really deep into the message of this movie.

It's not the same old princess plot line. It's about one's true love not having to be a man or a prince. It also shows that not all men have the best of motives, and you shouldn't always trust a prince. It teaches you that one can find true love within their family. In this movie, her true love was her SISTER!

    That's a wonderful storyline.

I swear, if anyone mentions the word incest…

Tangled and Rise of the Guardians were both better than Frozen. It was a decent film but very overrated.

You should relax, don't get so stressed about these things.

Do you want to build a snowman?

She sang another version of it. Her version isn't as good as Idina Menzel's.

Oh man, that song makes me teary.

I don't understand how some of you weren't moved by that movie.

    Idina Menzel...

And the success of Frozen was totally worth it for that moment at the Oscars where John Travolta pronounced her name as Adele Dazeem.

It's a great film and a great song, and now you've kind of made me want some Olaf merchandise.

Mind you, the Demi Lovato single version of the song is pretty awful. Idina Menzel for the win.
