I was not pleased with box 23 either! He made a terrible decision out of £26,000.
Stephen did NOT make a terrible decision at £26,000. >:( The Top 3 were still in play along with a back-up block, and as long as he didn't hit £250,000 and one of the other £75k+ amounts (18% chance of doing both) he would've been fine. Unfortunately he did, and since the Banker refuses to reward bravery after horrible rounds he was forced to go to the end from there.
Stephen definitely deserved the +£10,000 from Box 23 after VERY brave No Deal of £26,000 went wrong.
Box 9 next week, please.
Yes, he was brave to turn down the 26k but his luck then ran out as he picked 6 reds in a row - that should have been that - no more 2nd chances - game over - and yet ...>:(
I do wish Noel would quit spouting the same old nonsense about Box 23 worrying the Banker. Clearly it isn't with those shit offers he is making! *roll eyes*

Happy to oblige GCT.
Ramraider is correct. Stephen ended up with £10,000 and a holiday, yet really he should have come away from the game with neither. In the main game he had decent offers and willingly turned them down on the way to winning his 50p. That should be that. He also did not really complete the skyscraper game in the time allowed. They bent the rules. I thought DOND was at least a stickler for the rules of the game. Yet again this week we have seen another loser instantly become a big winner for no risk. It is just pathetic. It also seems amazing that the £10,000 seems to be coming out of that wretched box 23 so frequently to compensate people. So basically a probability of 1 in 5 games are now totally un-losable. Yet Noel still sings the praises of this flawed concept and talks its effect up day after day. >:(
Box 22 is the death box. Box 23 is the losers box.
Declining 26K was NOT a terrible decision in gameplay terms, but in terms of "the real world" I would have took the offer. However I am a firm believer that if you take the risk to decline such a large amount of money, you shouldn't then have a free 1 in 5 shot of winning 10K (and its not even a difficult decision to make.)
That said I do believe with regards to the holiday it would not be the bankers decision, (more like the independant adjudicator, and/or producers decision etc.) And Noel did mess it up very badly.
The game itself is easy, its concept is something a kid can do easily enough. Its just Noel taking ages to find the doors that is the problem!
As for Noel Edmonds and him "talking up" box 23, Noel is a TV professional presenter, and whatever his personal beliefs are, he does his job on TV fairly well. The fact that some of you are annoyed at him still talking up box 23 probably proves this.

Thank you. I'm not pleased with the total though. It is quite a low one!
Thank you death box!

Why the smiley? As others have said Box 23 is a flawed concept.
