I think it's something about the feet, they can be quite sensitive, I'd say they're more sensitive than the hands for example, maybe it's something to do with them being at the extremities ?
Physical pain - I suffer from IBS and migraines, and my worst bouts of IBS and my worse migraines have been exruciating. Other than, injuring my knee when I was 15. I badly brusied my knee cap, chipped some bone and tore cartilage. I don't recommend doing that! I fell in a gooseberry bush when I was about 7, I don't recommend that either.
Emotional - when my nad died when I was 9. I was at that strange age where I was old enough to understand it all, but not quite old enough to deal with it. The fact I didn't know she had cancer and was dying didn't help. I knew she was ill and in hospital, but her death came out of the blue for me. My mum didn't want me to go to her funeral either, as she thought I was too young, and whilst I've never told her, to this day, that really upsets me, as I feel like I didn't really get a chance to say goodbye.
The worst that happened to me was having my ribs broken and my sternum flipped over in surgery last year and once I woke up and the anesthetic wore off, I ended up spewing all over myself and let me tell you, being sick with broken ribs is EXCRUCTIATING.
Someone driving off while my thumb was caught in the car door. The pain that ensued for the following 2 days before I had it punctured at the hospital was indescribable. (I've given birth too).
I broke my neck a couple of years ago. That was agony.
Other than that, despite breaking many a bone, herniated disc causing sciatica has to be the worst. If it had gone on much longer I would have topped myself.

I feel for you. I had flu a few years ago, and a bad bacterial infection at the same time, so had a terrible cough. I had strained my muscles from coughing so much, but still needed to cough, so my muscles kept going into spasms, and that was painful enough. Should probably have added it to my worst physical pain examples.
Toothache...far worse than giving birth without pain relief.
Definitely - and my dentist reckons I'm really stoic - I've had three births without pain relief but a root abscess!:o
I'm dreading today tbh as I have to have a coil removed - somehow I'm nervous, don't know why. I'm 56 and apparently my FSH count says it can be removed. I've had my retina re attached too ^^ the intermittent pain shocks you ask you don't know which zap is going to hurt - while being told not to move! But thank goodness for modern medicine.
I didn't think it was possible for this tiny thing to have me rolling around on floor, clutching my foot, while whimpering in pain, but it was. I stepped on it so hard that it left an impression of six vivid red circles on my heel. The newer Lego bricks look safer nowadays, hurray.
I've stood on a Lego brick too, but I stood on the plug hard enough to bend back two of the three prongs. I'd rate it about four "OH GOD WHY! WHY ME!"s higher than a Lego brick.
I would say the worst was trapping my thumb in a car door when I was about 12. I can still feel the pain and see it, that was horrific. The doors where quite heavy as well. I have also had severe stomach cramps twice in my life and they come close. Truly evil the pain, I took anything and kept punching my stomach and doing yoga positions to ease it; it was like being stabbed repeatedly. I've broke my arm and twisted my ankle before but that pain was nowhere near as excruciating as the stomach pains.
I have bad knees, something at the back got 'stuck' a few times when i was in high school and the pain was obscenely bad, eyes watering, feeling sick, sweating. This would last anywhere from a couple of minutes to an hour then whatever it was would 'pop' back. I still can't bear to see people kneel properly because it reminds me of the pain.
The pain from my first heart attack was pretty intense, so was the pain of having 2 stents fitted after my second one...the surgeon told me he got the wire with the stent on one of them stuck by a junction...I was awake for the two and a half hour op.
Getting a cold sore in my right eye was seriously painful!
Emotionally, the pain of seeing my brother in a coma for several weeks and seeing him need 24/7 care afterwards was pretty bad as was seeing him later die from a brain tumour.
Cracked and displaced ribs. That was more painful than childbirth imo. Emotional pain is a totally different type of pain. Physical pain can be short lived but emotional pain goes deeper and can last a lifetime. :-(
I often get severe stomach cramps and I get occasional painful swellings that gradually grow to golf ball size appearing in awkward places that can make walking and sitting painful (had to get one lanced before at A&E and it was surprisingly painful >.<)
but today I had a sudden cramp in my right calf from moving in bed. My God that hurts >.<
I once had surprise root canal surgery on a badly infected tooth. Surprise because when I asked the dentist what he was going to do, he said "Do you want me to fix it or talk?"
It's the only time I've ever passed out due to pain, at least I think I passed out. It certainly felt like I had, but only for a split second.

Well, then, you'd be wrong.

Anything to keep the Job Centre at bay huh? ;-)
Careful now, people have been suspended and/or banned for claiming such things.

Toothache.
Borrowing my brothers racing bike and forgetting it had a crossbar!
Braking and flying over the handlebars of a bike and landing face first in a metal drain at the side of the road.

Having a dislodged cartilage in the knee pushed back wasn't fun either.
Having a 'problem' with anything to do with eyes, that just made me shudder . Poor you.

Oh! The pain! The pain!

not to be confused with a dislocated shoulder btw.
I can have good days when the pain ain't so bad - but still there, and bad days when it's like giving birth 24/7
(If you don't believe that - see this!
