For north and central Scotland it's 178. Otherwise it's on 103.

    Thank the bloody lord!!!!!!!

I was just about to buy a Freesat HD recorder as I have an interview next Friday and won't be able to watch the WC Opening Ceremony on Thursday as a result.

    Saved me £40-£70!!!

Can't believe its actually here. About bloody time!!!

Now all we need is for BBC 2 Scotland, Channel 4 and Channel 5 to be repositioned on the EPG with their HD versions on 102, 104, and 105 and viewing via the Sky Box will be almost perfect!

Stupid idea putting it on 178 for those in the East but @ least we have it now and can record/watch The World Cup games in glorious HD :)

We'll get that in 2016, just in time for everyone upgrading to their 4k equivalents which will be stuffed down at channels 204, 235, and 296. :(

How many STV regions are there?
How many are in HD? How many have +1's?

When will we get ad versions of channel 4 and 5 in Scotland Wales and NI?

I believe 2 STV regions, East & West with only West in HD, and I believe East has a +1

There are four STV micro regions: two micro-regions per main region (the main regions being STV Central (the original Scottish TV region) and STV North (the original Grampian region). http://stvcommercial.tv/micro_region_maps

As stated by Ocav, HD is STV Central (West) and +1 STV Central (East)

Ad versions for Channel 4 and 5 already exist for Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Why is there no HD swap for Scotland on 104 & 105???

because thats ad regions for SD there is only London region for Channel 4 HD and region 2, whatever that is for Channel 5 HD

Channel 4 could shift 4Severn onto one of the other two TPs they have, convert the one with Channel 4 HD to DVB-2 and launch at least 3 other ad regions for the nations or whatever suits them, as they have the space and waste it!

ITV also waste space as they have 3 TPs that have 5 SD channels and 1 HD channel each, when with 2 TPs in DVB-S1 mode with 8 SD channels each and 1 TP with 4 HD channels they could have an extra SD channel and an extra HD channel compared with what they have now!
Also they have a whole DVB-S2 channel doing nothing except testing!
