He's been doing the live cycling this afternoon......:o
There's a fair bit of dislike for him on the cycling thread........he does have some very annoying verbal habits
Has he ? I'm sure he's at Le Mans
Maybe he was doing the cycling off the telly........they've not said they were live at the event all week so I think they have been commentating off the TV
I might just ask on the cycling thread !
Number 20 - Porsche Team - Porsche 919 Hybrid - Currently 4th. Mark has just got into the car at the last pit stop
thanks
Porsche #20 is in touch just a lap down, but they have the next Audi hauling them in.
Just under 4 hours to go.
I know it's fashionable to lament the lack of manufacturer interest in F1 but, geez, there's only AUDI, Toyota and Porsche in LMP1-H and if AUDI keep trouncing everybody it's hardly surprising that there are so few entries.
Also, much as I don't like to stick up for FOM, it's kinda funny the way people bleat about FOM missing the odd F1 overtake here and there but the cameras at Le Mans failed to capture Nakajima's LMP1 going out or see Darren Turner overtake Fisichella for the GTE lead on-track.

Meh,
It's just taking advantage of the current, fleeting, interest in Le Mans to regurgitate the same old bollocks from Montezuma.
Sure, he can threaten to "take his ball home" all he wants but what makes him think that Ferrari will do any better at sportscar racing than they're doing at F1?
Both disciplines, at their highest levels, involve the same technologies.
I guess that, perhaps, Ferrari could just concentrate on the GTE sportscar class, where the 458 is currently the class of the field but, meh.
If they want the most prestige and publicity possible from motorsport it's either got to be F1 or LMP1-H.
Again, I suppose it could be argued that they could provide cars for LMP1-L but, if they do that, all that's going to happen is that people are going to wonder how come AUDI's and Toyotas that look the same are blowing past them like they're standing still, so it really has to be LMP1-H.... which brings us back to Ferrari needing to figure out how to build a decent racing hybrid.
Still, at least now they've got the Merc' W05 to copy for next year's F1 car.
