Will be curious to see how they play without pressure. Think it will be the first time they're going home with a game to spare.

Played ok for 2 games but not great. Our defence and midfield let us down.

All we need now is Andy Murray out in the first week and it will be another fun loving summer of British sport.

The Scots must be loving this.

Has Alex Salmond used England's elimination as ammunition for the "Yes To Independence" campaign yet?

India and China have a billion people.

No disgrace in England even coming last in the group. Just not good enough. No big surprise not getting out of the group.

Oh yes, they've all crawled out of the woodwork today. Supermarkets can expect a spike in Buckfast sales this weekend.

No. We only take joy out of England's failures when we are secretly worried that they might win it. Never had that worry this year.

PS: The YES campaign would have been boosted if England had gone all the way and we had to put up with weeks of coverage!

No, attack were pretty good. You might be suffering amnesia as everyone was saying after the Italy game the attack was great and its something we'd never seen in an England side for ages. Last night and the Italy game, the defence and midfield were the problem, not the attack.

England will never improve until they start training the kids from the grass roots by proper experienced coaches the whole system from the bottom up needs drastically changing, it will take years before we are a true force again, but it all depends on if the right changes are made. It can be done as countries who have spent less money and have a much smaller population than England have progressed in the World Cup but the changes need to be made now.

The 3 attackers that scored the same number of goals in two games that a half-fit Suarez did in 85 minutes?
