I wonder if Netflix will eventually start releasing the shows in a weekly format rather than all at once?

I'm not sure which option is best

IMHO All at once. i like the binge, the control the discussion that comes from having the whole story, also stops so many spoilers.

    Finally finished!

What happened to little boo? I can't remember.

    .

One scene implied that Big Boo used the peanut butter to get Little Boo to lick a certain part of her. There was also a reference to her getting caught doing something sexual a few episodes later.

Other than the references I don't remember seeing the dog this season.

That won't happen, thats what makes Netflix shows different to shows on TV. I prefer to watch at my own pace, when i want and tbh properly everyone feels the same way to.

I tried stretching out the season but it was just impossible :D

I'm 7 episodes in and I'm enjoying it far more than Season 1. I think it's because I am more familiar with the characters and I'm starting to care about them and their backstories.

I've forgotten parts of Season 1 though, What happened to Pornstache? Was he framed for that girls death? And what was the beef with Red and Piper when they found out they were bunking together? They weren't happy about it but I can't remember why...

Pornstache is on unpaid leave after being caught having sex with Daya. Daya set him up to cover the fact she is preggers with Bennett's kid. This is revisted late in the season.

No beef between Red and Piper. But Red respected Piper once Piper put her foot down when she returned in episode 3 when they bunked together. Apart of Red didn't want to share with Piper as Red used to have special priviledges in having a bunk to herself but she was fired from being the cook after Pornstache's drug smuggling. Between the three weeks that had passed at the end of season 1 and start of season 2, it seemed Red was moved into the bunk that Piper previously shared with Miss Claudette.

The show never has recaps at the start of the episodes so it can be a bit hazy on what occurred in season 1 when it's been a while since you viewed it.

Thanks for that. I remember Pornstache having sex with Daya now.

Got a free months trial with Netflix on the first of this month and have already watched both seasons. I went into this blind. I knew it was set in a women's prison but other than that I knew nothing. Hilarious show, proper laugh out loud moments. It has an incredible cast and such brilliant characters.

What I will say though is that the second season for me kind of killed a lot of the black women's personalities. Crazy Eyes in particular was a great character in the first season, someone who, despite the rumours, was actually very smart and tuned in to all that was happening around her. OK, she had her quirks but nothing too bad. The second season she just became a bit too mental. And the rest of that crew, purely by association with Vee, became evil and nasty for no real discernible reason. Vee was an excellent villain. I hated her from the very beginning, the actress done a truly remarkable job there. I'm just annoyed the rest, P aside, also became somewhat unbearable.

Still it's a great show, and I'm sure the real, awesome, Taystee will be back for the third series (assuming there is one?).

There definitely is a Season 3. Numerous articles on here about various characters who will be regulars in Season 3. I think they may have already started filming it,

I keep meaning to go back to re-watch but can't find the episode. Can someone help me out with what happened to Miss Claudette? I remember she finally relented and gave out a Visitor's Order but she seems now to have disappeared.

She assaulted a guard and got transferred because her case wouldn't get reexamined.

She's in Max - and the accepted wisdom on OITNB is that you don't come back from there. The actress was also in a serious car accident, which left her in a coma for a time earlier this year, but I understand she has recovered. Miss Claudette was a great character, and I wouldn't rule out her coming back at some point, but for now she's banged up in the big house off-screen!

Four episodes into this season and it's enjoyable.

Episode 1: A brilliant opening episode. Piper's flashbacks did what the flashbacks are always good at doing by giving us more insight into her as a person. I did hate Alex for screwing her over yet again. Not cool, Alex. The stuff with the prison in Chicago and the cockroaches were amusing enough too.

Episode 2: Lack of Piper aside, this was a great one with updating us on Litchfield and giving us some backstory with Taystee/introducing Vee as well. The job interview contest had me in stitches as well. Arguably a stronger episode than the first one and Healy has certainly become a lot nastier too.

Episode 3: Yeah, Brook is annoying that even Piper couldn't tolerate. I continue not to care about Larry as a character or even seeing him on a blind date. I did like Suzanne's flashbacks and Vee has managed to worm her way into things which should provide some chaotic drama soon enough. I am looking forward to finding out about her past with Red though.

Episode 4: Morello's flashback really surprised me actually. I knew there was something fishy about her engagement but I didn't see that coming. I did feel bad for her though. Piper loses points for that for her bet with Boo over Brooke (still annoying that one) and it is interesting seeing both Vee and red assert/reassert power in their own ways along with Nicky's 'collection' and Sophia having to educate the other inmates as well.

Orange won three critics choice awards last night

    Best Comedy Series
Best Supporting Actress for Kate Mulgrew
Best Guest Actress in a comedy series for Uzo Aduba

I've been watching a lot of Kate Mulgrew's past acting work and you know what, she's a damn fine actress. Very versatile. Never been nominated for many awards in her career. Lovely to see her finally getting some recognition for awards. She better get an emmy nom.

Just been reading Uzo Aduba's (Suzanne/Crazy Eyes) Wikipedia page and it says she actually auditioned for another part on OITNB and failed to land the part but was cast as Crazy Eyes instead. Anyone know who she originally auditioned for?

I'm pretty sure it was for Janae Watson (the athlete). I can't picture Uzo playing that role, but that's mostly because she inhabits Suzanne so completely. There's a very hilarious little 'Funny Or Die' video out there where Uzo faux-auditions for all the OITNB roles - Piper, Alex, Red, Poussey, Pennsatucky etc. Very funny, but does show some of her versatility!

IIRC the only time Little Boo was seen was when she was licking the peanut butter from Big Boo's hand.

Do you think with them already filming season 3, that they may make/release 2 seasons a year?
