Itv Encore share for its first week was only 0.2%, that's very low! Itv2 also doing badly with only 2.0% incl +1.
I couldn't believe they were repeating Crime Stories at the weekend (the documentary style police series full of long forgotten soap stars). That is far from the "very best of British drama".
That is a surprise. I went into a pub to have celebrate a birthday meal for a relative. The game was on, only two people watched it. We ate outside as I didnt want to see a crap side.

I am still completely baffled as to why they launched it. I know they stated they will be commissioning more niche drama specifically for ITV Encore, BUT they haven't yet and tbh I can't see it rating well at all.
I notice they are repeating Kingdom on it, I wonder why it never got a rpt on ITV3?
Disappointing figure for EE! It should've been above 6m at least. The only thing which might have caused the lower figure was lack of momentum from similar figures the past two weeks.
Not great and it'll drop much lower with the clash on Friday too. On Friday I think BBC really need Wimbledon coverage (preferably a Murray match) to overrun onto BBC One and push it later - which would be desirable for the lead-in and removing the clash!

Neither good nor impressive. Bounced around the schedule and time not always pronoted made it lose monentum. That rating isn't good.
EastEnders only about 0.3m higher than Monday when half of it clashed with Corrie, although share was 5 points higher in the 19:30-20:00 slot when fewer are normally watching TV. I'm guessing ITV News did surprisingly well - surely not many people hung around for post-match?
What are the excuses for that? No soap clash, normal regular Tuesday slot.
Probably something along the lines of... the clash on Monday with Corrie has killed it's momentum for the entire week thus posting a poor rating last night. I wonder if it'll beat Emmerdale in the direct clash on Friday night at 8PM?!

There can be no excuses. EastEnders should at least have been over 6m. It wasn't and it's not good enough. If anybody uses the iPlayer excuse I'll scream.

Sadists who got home from work at 6 and watched a recording of the England match or the repeat on the itv1+1 channel?
England's final World Cup 2014 match attracted just under 6 million viewers on Tuesday, overnight data reveals.
The 0-0 stalemate against Costa Rica brought in 5.7m (38.8%) at 4pm on average on ITV. It peaked at over 9m at around 6.30pm.
Later, Alan Titchmarsh's Love Your Garden returned to 3.2m (16.8%) at 8pm (144,000/1.7% on +1). Alison Steadman's Shetland was seen by 1.8m (8.4%) at 9pm (165k/0.9%).
BBC One's coverage of the game between Greece and Ivory Coast scored 4.0m (20.9%) at 8pm. BBC Three's showing of Japan and Colombia gathered 744k (3.8%) at 8.30pm.
On BBC Two, Today at Wimbledon appealed to 1.2m (6.0%) at 8pm, followed by Shopgirls with 1.5m (7.2%) at 9pm and a repeat of Goodness Gracious Me with 851k (4.5%) at 10pm.
Channel 4's Location, Location, Location continued with 1.3m (6.7%) at 8pm (221k/1.0%). Auction House gathered 1.7m (7.8%) at 9pm (213k/1.2%), while Kitchen Nightmares entertained 834k (4.7%) at 10pm (152k/1.6%).
On Channel 5, Dog Rescuers interested 1.2m (6.2%) at 8pm. CSI thrilled 1.3m (6.3%) at 9pm (176k/1.0%), followed by Big Brother: Power Trip with 1.1m (6.4%) at 10pm (124k/1.3%).
Sky Atlantic's Penny Dreadful continued with 190k (0.9%) at 9pm.
Solid as ever for Love Your Garden, its never been a world beater by any means but its always been respectable in a horrid slot for ITV, couldn't help the latest celeb travelogue though...
"@overnightstv: ITV coverage of #englandvsCostarica averaged 5.7m/38.8%, but the match 5pm - 6.50pm avged 7.8m. Peak was 9.5m/48.1%"
That is considerably higher than I expected.:o Thought it would average in the 5-6m mark, seems I underestimated our support even despite an early exit and a dreadful match.

I agree its ITV3 in all but name as we suspected.

Lower than I was expecting given only news competition.

"@overnightstv: BBC2's new history series #shopgirls made decent start at 9pm with 1.5m/7.2%."
There are some very odd people in the world. Unless the England rating was boosted by Scottish viewers that wanted to see England go out!
You can miss an episode and it doesn't matter that much.

If I've done the sums right...
Series average so far 1.28m compared to 1.46m last year.
Solid as ever for Love Your Garden, its never been a world beater by any means but its always been respectable in a horrid slot for ITV, couldn't help the latest celeb travelogue though...
