I agree BEL. Perhaps it isn't his fault that I can't bear him and it's more about the way the media fall over to kiss the arse of a vain, cheesy, shallow, humourless, tangoed buffoon one hit wonder with the musical credibility of Bob The Builder, the wit and charm of syphilis and the tv presenting skills of a potato.
He is useless at everything he turns his hand to and actually makes David Brent look like a cool sort of bloke. He sells every fart, has sold his kids privacy for a fast buck and his own ego and would be in complete oblivion had he not shacked up with the queen of tat peddling.
And yet he's fawned over like he's some sort of paragon of virtue, the patron saint of everything that is wonderful. He's given DOTY awards because he's the one who pimps his kids out to every rag waving a cheque when, in reality, the best celeb parents are the ones who protect their kids privacy and give them a normal, private childhood.
I just don't get it. He's a useless lump of talentless cheese and yet he's treated like he's up there with the A list, purely because he gives the rags access to his every waking hour. Knob >:(
BX, you have to remember that CAN micromanage him - part of this is getting copy approval - so you HAVE to give PA a glowing image in your articles. The other thing is that he's a consummate professional - a charmer. He has built a career on being a good guy/good dad rather than talent - in fact his talent is being Pete the Charmer with CAN taking care of the uncomfortable truths.
Why can't I take to the perfect Emily Mother Earth act?
You get the horrible feeling she is just as shameless as gonk face.
Wonder If we are going to see a little girls party turned into another money spinner :-(
Again, remember they are selling an image of the perfect family. The reality of life with a new baby that wasn't planned with a house on the market, preparing for life apart, a dad that is rarely at home, two step children and a partner involved in a court case with their mother and about to go back to uni. I doubt the reality is the Waltons tbh ;-)
Little bit of speculation, but I wonder if we are going to see a quick dash to private Ems side when his ticket sales don't reach the wonderful heights ?
Has he sold out anywhere ?
Oh thank you x I didn't know that x
Have to admit I'm a bit shocked 5000 is a really massive, I've looked on other websites and it seems a little dismal.
What can I say.
But the dates are 'nearly sold out' on that site because, as NT said, it's a resale site where people try and sell tickets they don't want or need.
If you go onto Ticketmaster or other official sites, there are tickets available at all of the gigs
I could have gotten 8 seats together for the Albert Hall on Ticketmaster, if I wanted. (Luckily for some TM fans, I don't! ) His gigs aren't near sold out. Links to getmein prove nothing more than people want to offload tickets.
Anytime I've tried to get tickets for Coldplay, or any of the other artists I like to see live, I find it near on impossible to get them. As soon I go online at 9am or try to call it's a nightmare and in no time they are gone.:(
I've no doubt TM is popular - amongst the very particular demographic he appeals to. Will all his shows sell out? I dunno. I know there's the RAH then some smaller venues. There seems to be tickets available for all of them at the moment, on the official site.
And if it gives his fans an hour and 10 minutes of enjoyment and they're happy to part with their hard earned cash, then go for it is what I say!;-):D
Aw come on x he hasn't sold out anywhere x
If you look at the Epsom website all the proper acts no longer have cheap tickets, there all £35 his is £27
You can still buy cheapie for him anywhere.
No offence to his fans, but go on go go on go on x

Totally agree with you :--)
They can't even give the boxes away x I never want to be rude to a PA fan but good grief there are tickets everywhere.

Absolutely. As much as you or I can't understand it, the guy does have a fanbase and if they like what he does musically, then why not go and see one of his gigs? Personally, I think I'd rather have my teeth pulled out with pliers but then there are probably artists I'd mortgage my house to see live that make others ears bleed. Sadly, my next gig was supposed to be seeing the late, great Bobby Womack in Walthamstow later this month and that will not now happen
He's been unusually quiet re the "success" of Big Nit, if it'd been the hit he predicted, we'd never have heard the end of it, surely now he must accept he's never ever, ever, ever going to be massive pop star or will he have one last go at having the hit album he so desperately wants?

Still no official sales figures available to see just what a success it was.
I don't know anything really about self released music but surely he must have lost a lot of money on his last few albums and singles. What with production costs, studio time, PR etc and sales of a few thousand at the most, it's a bloody expensive hobby

I'm not to sure how it works either, Blondie & I could be totally wrong here but did he not have something to do with Pledge Music, where (I think) fans of their clients donate towards costs in return of some kind of reward?
Ugh!
Just seen him on cover of latest OK exclusive..
Privatemily in bikini , and TM looking orange and out of shape.
Shameless Gonk
Does anyone still read OK magazine? (Genuine question) it used to be quite a high end thing but now it seems anyone can get a cover. I think I'm long overdue one!

Because I find it impossible to take him remotely seriously, in any aspect, he's an endless source of amusement for me.:D
How can you not take this man seriously? ;-)

Looks like he is popular after all

You buy Butlins tix through Butlins themselves. They're selling "earlybird" tickets now, if you want to get some.
Ah ok, all the other dates are nearly sold out and therefore would expect butlins to do the same

There is 5000 fans at Butlins
I heard it, it's true 5000
So it would seem. It also looks like not too many of his 3 million twitter followers were feeling the groove of BN, either.
I wonder how many of the followers would be able to adequately fill in the security cache code that is sometimes required?;-)
