Without a doubt, one of, if not the weakest brazilian team in history. I've always thought they were bound to be found wanting, and here now, the first top class opponent they've faced and they get mullered 5-0, and we're only halfway through the match. Reaching the semi final has been an over achievement for this brazil side, thanks mainly to a lucky draw and some dodgy refereeing decision.
When people were saying the quality of this WC has been poor, I didn't want to add to that. because people would accuse me of being negative, but really, what are side like this doing in a semi final of a WC. Shocking.
Well, I think that point may relate less to the overall quality of this World Cup and more to how unbalanced and volatile it's been - given that no team has been head-and-shoulders above the rest a la Argentina 1986 and the best teams' performances have fluctuated wildly.
After all, this is the same German side which was outplayed for a long spell by Ghana and struggled to beat Algeria and in the case of Brazil in particular, they've largely got to this stage by dragging teams down to their level than putting in generally impressive performances.
On that basis I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised if Germany lost to either Holland or Argentina in Sunday's final.

He used to be world class not that long ago.;-)
In the last two games we have seen the best and worst of him. It really does sum him up.
From brilliant to a liability.
I think luiz resembles a character called sideshow biob in the simpsons.

They were right. We were averaging 1.9 goals in the R16s and QF's.
I bet he is a nervous wreak now, hoping there are no more goals, though with Germany in this form i would be surprised if it finishes 5-0.
What is your bet?
Ah right. Zuniga's the chap you're thinking of.
Big Phil was a man from Brazil
Who swallowed a dynamite pill
His heart retired
His arse backfired
And his balls shot over the hill
