"EastEnders" sinking in the Friday night timeslot and pulling its averages further down. Moore needs to address the problem around this episode by cutting or moving.
The EastEnders share is usually 30% on Fridays but it still should rate higher generally.
Shows how far Big Brother has fallen from the public consciousness that they finally feature some actual sex laat night, and still no one has paid any attention to it.
Uniterrupted.
Gary Lineker.
Good commentary team.
Hansens last punditry.
Alan Shearer.
Games have rated better so far.
Seem to have picked the best games with the most astonishing results.
Benefits ITV.
.................
OK to be fair the adverts a great to interrupt seeing Adrain Chiles.
To have a laugh when they hit an advert just before a goal is scored.
Or leave the game two minutes before the end and leave the last few minutes on ITV4.
This post is completely ridiculous. When was the last time ITV moved the last few minutes of a football match to ITV4?
My take on events:
BBC Benefits:
Gary Lineker
No adverts (to say uninterrupted is wrong when I have no doubt that we'll see a promo for some BBC programme)
Hansen's last punditry (means we'll never have to put up with him again so that can only be good news)
BBC bad points:
Shearer and Hansen are poor pundits
Lawrenson on commentary
Pointless musical VT's which have no relevance to anything
ITV good points:
Better pundits overall (Hoddle, Dixon far better than the BBC old boys)
Better VT's with Gabriel Clarke
ITV bad points:
Adrian Chiles
Adverts
Andy Townsend on commentary
I believe it's a reference to the French Open Tennis?

What and the poster thinks that ITV will move the World Cup Final to ITV4? No, clearly not. The post was about World Cup Final coverage. No need for a sly dig at ITV.
The soap figures are intriguing. While Corrie is still ahead for the most part. EastEnders and Emmerdale are so close not just to each other but also Corrie that its hard to really say which one is the top soap. I wish all forms of catch up were included so we could get an accurate picture of which one actually has the biggest reach. Most recent EE episodes on iplayer garner a million hits. You have to wonder how many are first time viewers and how high that puts its viewership.
Hat-tip to Channel Five's "On The Yorkshire Buses" which got 1.2m at 8pm last night, beating Channel 4's "Million Pound Drop" (1.1m) and BBC2's athletics coverage (900k).
Really, really dire soap figures. Yes, its Summer and all that, but I don't recall them this low last year.
Yes all the soaps really struggling with Summer and really are take it or leave it products. Fridays not complementary to soaps-and its a grim outlook with the main holiday period rapidly approaching.

Emmerdale - 4.8m (4.9m)
Coronation St - 5.9m (6.1m)
The Cruise Ship - 3m (3.1.m)
Coronation St - 5.5m (5.7m)
Doc Martin - 2.4m (2,5m)
News at Ten - 1.4m (1.5m)
Masterchef started with 3m and ended with 4.7m
Emmerdale: 4.82m (31.0%) / 4.94m (31.8%)
Coronation Street: 5.94m (35.0%) / 6.09m (35.9%)
Coronation Street: 5.87m (30.3%) / 6.07m (31.3%)

Looks like everyone went out last night then, all ratings at least a million down on what you'd expect at this time of year.
Only Celebrity Masterchef held up, because people like a celebrity reality tv show.
True. I reckon the World Cup final will also do well because people like a World Cup final.
It's been a step too far this week...really uncomfortable viewing. When the host isn't comfortable introducing footage then there is something wrong.
What happened? If the host is uncomfortable that doesn't sound good!
Sex (under the covers)
But did Big Brother rate well with the scandal?
Yes all the soaps really struggling with Summer and really are take it or leave it products. Fridays not complementary to soaps-and its a grim outlook with the main holiday period rapidly approaching.
Well they were doing other things under the covers on Wednesday's show which managed to boost the rating for Thursday's show.
Surprise surprise people are quick to slag off EE rating yet look at the rest of the soaps. That's poor for Corri and terrible for ED.
It's not even a first in the history of the show, is it? I didn't watch it but I am 99% sure it happened on Teen Big Brother.
