I've seen the Isle of Man and the Mull of Galloway from the Cumbrian coast. North Wales from the top of Arndale House in Manchester, and from Kettleshulme near Macclesfield.
From Ashurst Beacon near Skelmersdale, you can see Llandudno, Blackpool Tower, the Lake District, the Peak District, Pendle Hill, Liverpool and Manchester. That seriously is some viewpoint!
From Lickey Hills near Birmingham I could see Bardon Hill in Leicestershire. From Waterhouses on the A52 near Ashbourne you can see The Wrekin and the Shropshire Hills.

Where in England can you see France?

I've been to Dover and Folkestone more times than I care to remember, sat on both their beaches, and never seen it. Oh and Sandgate too!

Haha!
Now come on, Google doesn't give me the DS "I've seen France from XYZ, and this is when you'll see it properly" answers.
Anyway Anne, your link doesn't appear to work when I click on it. Probably this bloody phone to be fair!
Wow! Maybe Dover Castle is the place. I once went up Western Heights in Dover, to be higher up for a glimpse of La France and STILL couldn't see it.
Dover's white cliffs look impressive from France.
Must be your phone. It works for me. It also depends on the weather what you can see from where.
Well this phone is close to getting a hammer taken to it.
On a slightly different note, apparently it's possible to see the Wicklow Mountains from the top of Snowdon.
And I am sure I have seen the Scilly isles from lands end.
It's occasionally possible to see the mountains of north Wales from Three Rock Mountain nr Dublin

What a beautiful photo.
That view is seriously zoomed in.
Impressive all the same.
I've seen France many times when visiting my sister in Folkestone - now, you were looking south weren't you, Mark?:D
Haha, yes, I was looking south out to sea, watching them ferries crossing over to Calais.
I can see for miles......and miles.....and miles......and miles......and miiiiiiiles........
You really need to look at a map.
You can from Tynemouth Priory if you look right!
No.... wait.... that's South Shields!
