Someone rang in to suggest Esther Rantzen too. This is the Esther Rantzen who was so entrenched in the BBC establishment that she didn't say anything about Savile despite the fact that she was founder of a child protection charity.
Joanna Lumley was someone else's suggestion.
I am seriously starting to question the mental state of LBC listeners.

Wow, Rantzen?!? That's a madness. Nearly as bizarre as suggesting Brian...
Yes. What would we know about anything? One we've had our 60th birthday we should be given a euthanasia pill or, if it's cheaper, a bullet in the back of the head. Would that make you happier?
Looks as though IDS has hung on to his job in the Cabinet reshuffle. J O'B must be relieved that he's still able to rant about his favourite hate figure.

Probably more than you can be forgiven for imagining. Hopefully more than you know about my schooldays - we were NOT 50 to a class, did NOT endure flogging AND certainly did not leave school at 13.
No idea. I was just saying that the passage of time is apparently not a barrier for some so neither should it be for her.
I absolutely agree that the passage of time should not be a barrier. However, it's been known for months that Harris would be taken to court on this, and if Vanessa was traumatized by what happened to her, perhaps she should have contacted the police. Obviously she couldn't have gone public at that point because it might have influenced the case. The fact that she's gone public only now, when the case is over, suggests that she's more interested in a bit of publicity than in getting justice for herself. Perhaps I'm not as nice as other posters think I am! ;-)
"No-one likes her, like her we do not, ladies and gentlemen. We don't like you sweetpea, we are not remotely interested and l couldn't give a stuff, a lardy, a hefty hideaway girl, you're fat...84850, steveatlbcdotcodotuk, 848...Katie Price, Vanessa we...steveatlbcdotcodotuk"
He sounds like Gollum! Anyone missing a gold ring?

It never fails to amaze me the what people will criticise James O'Brien for doing.
I agree.
James could help old ladies across the road and save drowning kittens from rivers and he'd be criticised for it, or made out it's an attempt to make himself appear 'nice'. Cue a reference to Chiswick too.

It was discussed.

Perhaps Rantzen and Lumley could do it together. They could really get their teeth into it....
So what do you know about schooling in 2014?
Indeed. What's it to him?
Morning/Afternoon all.
Morning all.

Enough already! You could go on tit-for-tatting over this all day!
I will happily challenge lazy stereotypes that keep getting trotted out in this thread.
And I've said many times before, I prefer Richmond.

Only now?
Odd.

He's got a beard, you know!
That's very true, F&C. Regular listeners could probably recite his shows, word for word.
It's so repetitive that he hardly needs to turn up at all.
I agree.

That made me chuckle lol.
