Were those astronauts from Commonwealth countries? Bit of a random insert if they weren't.

It's because Scotland invented space. TV and space.

Surely anti gravity would make it fall up? It's a lack-of-gravity mic.

    True:blush:

Could Bolt have a special role?! The commentators were very casual about his no show. There's was no 'it's a real shame Bolt isn't here'.

Yeah, so at times this opening ceremony has been beyond cringeworthy. The constant begging from UNICEF, however well intended, was a little uncomfortable. But I've really enjoyed it. :)

What do you think would have happened if the BBC had refused to show the sections when they were appealing for money? The content of the Opening Ceremony is decided by the Games Committee; he BBC are contracted to show the programme not to decide upon its' content (unless it breeches broadcasting guidelines)
The BBC are using their own feed as was seen before the ceremony started and that they have different commentators than the official feed.

They could have just cut back to the studio. They tend to do that a lot in their live sport coverage, especially athletics.

He would have parted the Clyde and invented TV.

I had to switch over and missed an hour or so. Was Salmond or Cameron there?
Or are they being kept back for the closing ceremony, which will be sponsored by Greenpeace, or Save The Whale?
