Well you have just posted in a thread discussing him so I guess you.
I read that as who cares if he gets spat on, not who cares enough to discuss him. You wouldn't know on DS though. I always laugh at the ones who go in a thread to post 'Yawn'.
He goes to prison to serve a sentence, not get beaten up.
What he did was thoroughly awful, but I don't condone acts of violence against him.
Oh, I wouldn't normally condone violence but turns out I can make exceptions. As someone said, he should thank himself lucky a big gobber was all he got. Looks like he's almost - but not quite - as vulnerable as his victims now. I can't find an ounce of compassion in me.

It's not sympathy for him as much as respect for laws against violence.
No matter what offences prisoners have committed, they are all equally entitled not to be attacked by either officers or other inmates. This just shows what a dreadful state our prisons are in when you consider the problems with violence, drugs etc.
I wonder why the attacker thought he was entitled to administer his own justice too. Harris may be a lowlife, but I would wager that he is no worse than the scumbag doing the attacking. They are all criminals deemed to be worthy of jail time, none are better than others.
If this story is intended to inspire sympathy for an elderly man, it's failed. He's lucky he was only spat at.
No, it has inspired some sympathy. Amazingly, there are some decent and sensible comments under the Mail article. A man really is entitled to go to church without being spat at, and I'm pretty sure that the spitter was not in prison for being just too decent and honest for his own good.
Prison IS the punishment, not a place where punishment can be inflicted by any scum that feels like having a go.

Shouldn't he be with the other nonces ?
They must be all together in the church. I'm not sure how it works.

All three of them.
with 27.000 posts it seems they enjoy having a say about everything and anything .
It's turning into a spit-for-spat argument.....
