Why do you keep on spamming the forum with referral links to that website?
Washington National Cathedral is a venue
for memorial services and state occasions
It shows that America dont just do skyscrapers
Well, no. But then most western countries have cathedrals of varying styles along with modern skyscrapers. Perpendicular Gothic ones are ten-a-penny here (as I'm sure they are in America - it was a popular style around the turn of the 19th/20th century.)
Doesn't hold a (votive) candle to the Sagrada Familia though
Sometimes they do church skyscrapers

They Built A Cathedral!
Why didn't you just say I really like this Cathedral's architecture, and then maybe explained why? It kind of is odd the way you decided to start this thread.
But I will add onto my previous post by asking how many cathedrals in Europe have Darth Vader as one of the grotesques?

Yeah and a copy at that, something Disneyland would do.
The admission fee for sightseeing at the Washington Cathedral is $10 per adult, $6 per child
Not sure if Westminster Abbey have fixed charges....
'Anerican History'
You should have been a peasant in the crowd saying this during the Pillars of the Earth series on Channel 4. For the laughs. I suppose for accuracy's sake they might have to execute you but it would be worth it. I can just see Ian McShane's nonplussed expression.
That IS my word >:(
Only joking :D
The Cathedral in Salamanca has an astronaut on it.
£18 for adults
£8 for children
