Does anybody ever welcome a visit from.......

......the old bible thumpers.......the Jehovah's?

They seem to be as popular as ever, all the houses near me appeared to ignore them or close the door within 30 seconds.

Do they know they are as unpopular as a fart in a lift?

    Nope. And I also dont appreciate a visit from the painters. Those assholes keep coming back :(

    I was tempted to open the door because the woman who knocked was well fit...... Then her chaperone came up the path...... A 70 year old fella in a blazer and panama hat.

    I was reading an article about them recently. They no longer knock on doors, preferring instead to accost people in city centres.

    They stand outside the Park Plaza in Leeds, every day without fail.

    they haven't come to the door for years where i live, if they do i tell them im not interested and they go away,

    They have little stalls outside of the city train stations. Now they have to compete with the free news papers and magazine distributors and Big Issue sellers.

    Not nearly as annoying as those double glazing salesmen. And a pinprick compared to cold callers from India!

    Strangely, we got them at the gate of our rented holiday villa in Spain a few weeks ago. They were very nice though, and blessed me even though I wouldn't let them in.

    of course I thought he was going to talk about the Spanish Inquisition. But nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition.
    I like to ask these visitors if they prefer my Virgin Mary keyring, or my praying Jesus car freshener.

    Yes I so, I have even invited some in if I feel like it and have the time to chat.
    I like most I have chatted to, they are just like real people and not 'them' at all.
