I get my BT Sports for free the whole year (and the previous one as well).

In all fairness, BT Sport is free to all BT Broadband customers, which is a fair offer, one most BT Broadband customers probably don't realise.

If only they had the odd TV commercial or constant mailshots to promote the fact.

Aren't they normally decrypted for the free-to-view bit, so you can watch them whenever. But you can't record Sports stuff from earlier in the week and watch it on the Saturday.

    Live games:

    Football
    Leeds United v Middlesbrough
    Celtic v Dundee United
    Arsenal v Crystal Palace
    PSV Eindhoven v NAC Breda

    Cricket
    England v India

    Rugby Union
    Australia v New Zealand
    South Africa v Argentina

Good, that's my Saturday lunch time sorted.

Leeds had a free game shown at the start of last season too.

If they have BT Broadband it's free for them too. If not, BT have done the odd free day but doing it on the same day as Sky would lessen the impact.

Will this also be on one of Sky's FTA channel, namely the one to be found on channels 11 Freeiew, 152 Sky and 123 Virgin Media? They've done this on the past by the Guardian TV guide suggests not.

No, it's just the sports channels will be available to all current Sky Subscribers, as well as being available to all VM customers

Same problem as last year ;-)

    They will not be free.

They will be available at no extra charge to Sky subscribers who don't take Sky Sports.

To view them you need to be paying a subscription.

By your reasoning anyone paying only the Sky+ subscription in order to use the PVR functions, and who doesn't subscribe to any channels, should be able to view them then.

No, because Sky+ only subscribers are not Sky TV Subscribers

So you can have Sky+ with no channels to rewind/record only the free channels. Is that £10 per month still?

Last time, for Freeview customers, they put Sky Sports on Pick TV (or Sky 2) as I recall...

I take this isn't happening this year? Seen no mention of it!

When they had the free weekend on the same weekend as the German Grand Prix a few years ago, I recorded it in HD (I don't subscribe to the HD package) and was still able to watch it in HD after the free weekend had ended, so you should be fine.

No, Freeview customers won't have any free access, only Sky TV subscribers and on the normal channel numbers

Yeah, FTA and FTV channels with recording functions and BBC iPlayer (only), it's either £10 or £10.99, not sure!

I think we shouldn't bring this thread down to that. Please do not lower the tone as some may be offended.
