Occasional sound/picture stutter normal?
Every now and again I will be watching a recording and I will get a random sound stutter, sometimes picture stutter, or both. It's only for a split second but a very noticeable glitch. I can go a few days without it happening and then it will happen a few times in a day. If I rewind the stutter is still there. It just happened during last Sunday's Dragons Den. I can understand the odd glitch during a live football match but not during a movie/tv show.
The signal strength/quality couldn't be better so it can't be related to that. What could it be? My previous 2tb box never did this. What really gets me is how random it is and how it doesn't happen enough to be classified as a serious problem. More of an annoyance that I don't want to live with. Could it be related to a glitchy hard drive? I've been told I lose my warranty if I switch back to my 2tb box. Besides, I don't want to go back as this new box is a lot quieter and has wireless capabilities.
Any help appreciated.

Robin, have you tired a different box? I still have my 2tb box but switching boxes will invalidate my warranty. Not sure what to do. I noticed picture stutter during the football match and moto3 race today so it's not only when playing from the hard drive

But there are many other possibilities for momentary stuttering or "no signal" faults. All you can do is eliminate them, one by one.
